Great Buy!! By J on The month of january 27, 2012 size: 2) Essential
I'd my attention about this lens looking for per week before I made the decision to go forward and Try it out. I'd my doubts after studying a few of the reviews and also because of the price (pretty cheap compared to the $1000 sets I see selling on ) but after trying out all of the incorporated parts I'm able to say certainly it was certainly an excellent buy. I recommend this package for anybody who would like to enjoy their cameras without emptying your bank account. For novices this package works cause its certainly not worth spending a small fortune for any lens you do not know using. For more advanced photographers I think these items work in occasions where you just don't want to carry a heavy or super expensive lens (like when hiking outdoors or traveling abroad).
contacts: The lenses are A lot better than I'd have expected for that cost. The wide position is worth the price of the package alone. That does not mean fundamental essentials same quality as $400 brand professional lenses, but I'm sure these lenses tend to be more than adequate for novices to more complex photographers for that cost. I'm a photography enthusiast that does not have the cash to invest on professional equipment and so i am happy. Lenses were well-built, top quality searching and even arrived protective pouches. I made use of the wide position to obtain some good group shots and was extremely pleased using the results. I could fit almost two times just as much into my shot when compared with no wide position. The telephoto zoom added a pleasant little effect, little, but for that cost it had been still nice to possess.
Filters: Filters fit perfectly and labored as marketed. very satisfied!
MACRO FILTER Package: These filters looked and felt like quality products. Read more › 4 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback...

Lots of worthless components with a couple of nice items by S. Bird on December 30, 2011 Size: 2) Essential I'm a artist by trade and a novice professional photographer. This Essential Package would be a gift from the fiance as we do not have 1000s of dollars to dedicate to my photography. Overall, I'd highly recommend saving your hard earned money and skipping this package. What you are having to pay with regard to added is not worth what you receive...or, must i say you receive EXACTLY what you have to pay for - some inexpensive camera components that won't produce great results and leaves you dissatisfied. I'll break it lower, both good and unhealthy. Let us obtain the bad taken care of first:
1. 2.0X Telephoto: Creates incredibly fuzzy photos that degrade while you move out of the center. If you're able to afford it, just buy a nice IS telephoto for the camera...you will be much more happy.
2. Tulip hood: Does NOT thread properly onto Canon lenses (it'll thread into Ultra violet filters within the lens, so that's one work-around) Works very poorly with the 250mm telephoto zoom (creates image crop round the corners). I have didn't have this problem using the Canon-brand hoods.
3. Three cleaning cloths Along with a cleaning cloth brush set? It's nice, but thinking about the price of the package, they are minimal products you can buy individually.
4. Adapter ring set: you are paying for something you'll probably never use as long as you continue to purchase lens components that are the proper size (i.e., 58mm or whatnot). In my opinion case a "factor" they put into the package to really make it appear like you are obtaining a lot for any little money.
Let's focus on the great:
1. I had been really amazed through the wide-position attachment. I had been thinking about investing in a $500+ wide position Canon lens but could not justify the price. By Amy on May 11, 2012 size: 2) Essential
first, I'll purchase from Digital Gojo again, Certainly. Their customer service department is one of the best that I have encountered in YEARS
Therefore, this review shouldn't hinder anybody from purchasing products from their store.
In a nutshell, I came back my package. Why? The wide position lens add-on, cracked off and was essentially stuck on the top of my $200+ Canon Lens. Half on, half off.
Like a photography novice, I visited the Community Forums for help in taking out the lens from the Canon because the regular contributors ALWAYS appear to understand what's going on. In addition to helping me remove it (ice to contract aluminum and tape to reattach to get rid of lens adaptor successfully), a gentleman who I've interacted with around the boards before authored this concerning the Essential Package for Canon Digital rebel:
"From that "package", the $10 cleaning package might be helpful...
The fluorescent correction filter is really a left-over in the times of film when common film was "daylight", and specialists would buy "tungsten" to be used with studio hot-lights. No film was manufactured to respond properly to fluorescent lighting (that is essentially a vibrant peak of eco-friendly spectrum -- the green colored filter blocks a few of the eco-friendly in the light). Digital cameras all control white balance electronically (normally set to "auto", but you need to find daylight/cloud/fluorescent/tungsten/custom/flash settings also).
The wide/tele adapters were really created for use on cameras that don't have interchangeable lenses (most P&S and camcorders -- and a great optic isn't cheap I believe I compensated around $140 for that Canon tele ripper tools and attachment ring in my old G2 P&S -- the wide adapter is much more pricey... so that you can guess what the caliber of the optics within this package should be).
