By Richard L. Baty on November 25, 2013
Without modification I would rate this device as two stars (I'd most likely not utilize it).
The LP-A6USB/FM is a mini Stereo BTL 3 Watt RMS (by having an 8 Ohm speaker load) amplifier with tone controls, incorporating an FM player, a USB/SD player with no display, an online, and no energy supply. The possible lack of a presentation and the ability supply noise around the output are negative features. On my small unit the Bass control was noisy, because of manufacturing or shipping defect. low-level, low frequency amplitude modulation is viewed around the output for a lot of test signals using 0dB test sine-waves indicating power or distortion issues. The system has got the stereo channels reversed input to output using the Music player. Around the positive side, the amplifier is non-inverting.
I modified , the Lepai LP-A6USB/FM to get rid of the ability supply noise to really make it acceptable in my experience.
The Lepai LP-A6USB/FM has good performance and the Music player EQ is freed from digital saturation. The LP-A6USB/FM amplifier is nice sounding, has helpful features, and a great tone adjustment range. The USB/SD Music player has good performance incorporating non saturating digital EQ, and remembers digital volume and track being performed. The remote selects the track to experience, the amount, the EQ, and the input Mode. The FM is nice sounding, and using the remote can instantly preset the FM stations which may be selected while using remote. The system doesn't have a presentation.
If power noise is a problem for you personally and you aren't handy at electronics repair the LP-A6USB/FM may not be great for you.
The Bass adjustment range is 22.6 dB and the Treble adjustment range is 21.5 dB. Both Bass and Treble possess some impact on the response at 1kHz. there's in regards to a. This can be a solid little amp. I had to find an A/C plug that supported the amps/volts output (12v/2amp). It may sound fine being an outside system amp. The remote would be a bonus. I had been replacing a boom box that remained outside all year round which was getting old. It was an excellent substitute using the built-in FM stereo tuner and additional auxiliary port/USB. FYI, the USB port charges you a mobile phone as the amp is powered on. again, it was an added bonus. so, Overall, this can be a solid inexpensive choice.2 Comments Was this review useful for you? By Aron Hasler on March 9, 2014 i've owned 4 different lepai amplifiers. the cs808, the 168, the very famous 2020 a+ and this amplifer (not within this order though). something to keep in mind may be the cost point. I have not were built with a bad lepai amplifier and that one isn't any exception, It may sound great in my experience, though the power supply can sit a little loose (though it may be my power) i've got a set of technical pro 8 ohm bookshelf loudspeakers connected to it and it sounds fine (the ability supply is definitely an twelve volt 6 amp power) all the functions work great onto it. THE Brought IS Better Then Your SUN! seriously puts some tape regarding this when you are getting it. you would like a guitar amp that may do all digitial formats and Sounds good? this amp wont let you down

This is actually a distinctive piece for me personally, I had been searching for something in my work truck and so i did not need to stream music with my phone. I've plenty of "bookshelf" loudspeakers lounging around. Initially I had been searching just for something to power loudspeakers, and happened across this with FM, USB and Sd. It forces the bookshelf loudspeakers easily, and is going to be coming beside me to operate soon! I have to make/obtain a 12v plug for that ciggy lighter.
!!!A couple of tips I have learned. !!
-For that Radio Around the remote You should use the figures -9 to decide on the "presets" that the unit picks for you personally(should you push the scan button)
-Also!! if you prefer a specific station just push within the radio station you would like 999 is 99.9, 1079 is 107.9 etc...
-for Sdcard, you are able to press the amount of the song you would like.. granted I've countless songs so not really a helpful feature but it's there.
-There's an EQ button around the remote which runs via a couple of preset EQ settings unsure the number of, but once you touch the knobs around the unit, the settings could be altered.
One Small issue I observed and you can observe even just in the "stock" photos this is actually the Sdcard slot is slightly misaligned so it's a comfortable fit, the credit card rubs the aluminum faceplate, no huge issue, but desired to bring it up.
Also another person pointed out obtaining a 12v pigtail with this particular, I did not but I'd a 1 lounging throughout the house. Comment Was this review useful for you? This can be a small amplifier. It really works well. It's exactly what I want aside from the ability supply. If power included, it might be perfect.Comment Was this review useful for you? -There aren't any lights to point if it's while using SD, radio, Inputs, or USB since it's source.
-There's not a way of knowing what radio station is playing.
-The Sdcard slot isn't deep the credit card will stand out 3/4 of how.
- No volume/treble/bass controls on the remote (although there's an on/off button).
- I do not know what audio formats the unit supports except mp3 there's no manual with this particular infromation.
-The power chord is NOT included (although I'd already known that).
Apart from that it's the perfect device in my vehicle because the vehicle radio's electrical product is shot, i jut powered this with the cigarette lighter and wired within the car's loudspeakers. Required me all twenty minutes after i had the speaker wires deciphered. Would certainly recommend to anybody who desires an inexpensive vehicle radio, or whose vehicle has bad wiring.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback...
