By M. Allen Greenbaum HALL OF FAME VINE VOICE on October 21, 2004 This little water container continues to be very useful with this medium-sized excessively aggressive peach-fronted conure. Since you can put the container anywhere around the cage, it has been simple for us to put it from in which the conure usually spends time at. Therefore, it's simpler to get rid of the container for refilling before dear "Mookie" comes to bite us. (Most conures aren't such as this).
The container is simple to put and remove, the bird doesn't have problem consuming from this, and it's simpler to determine the level then your plastic dishes that hang in the cage. Additionally, it has not been removed by Mookie, the very first water container which has defied individuals efforts. I'd talk with your vet about how often to change this (or other) water or food container. Since the water stays clean, it's tempting not to grow it as frequently as other water containers. Additionally, you might like to ask the local vet if plain tap water is alright for the bird--we use canned spring water. Overall, a pleasant accessory for your bird's abode.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. I've been using these Lixit bottles (along with other brands which are similar) for my birds (Conures, Amazons, Cockatiels, lovebirds, and senegals) For nearly two decades now. Didn't have a problem I possibly could blame the manufacturing on. For me, it's a smart choice to make certain that each of the balls within the spout re-seat themselves to ensure that water does not leak and the entire process of doing that can take about 1.5 seconds.Comment Was this review useful for you? I personally use these in my wild birds, because my wild birds prefer to poop within their water dishes and With this particular, they always get access to freshwater! This bottle is only the right size for just about any smaller bird! Mine has been employed for Parrotlets. :) Happy with this particular product!Comment Was this review useful for you? by N... on August 4, 2013
Was very very happy to uncover this bottle is equivalent to the Farnum branded bottle I have used for any good 16 years. Old one yellowed badly as we grow older & finally broke during cleaning. Apart from color -- Farnum bottle & the pictured one possess a blue screw on lid, received you have black -- and the label, the bottle is identical. If you are looking for the same substitute to have an old Farnum bottle, here it is. Will attempt to publish a alongside photo. Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By M L on This summer 9, 2014
These work ideal for a far more sanitary water source. Our wild birds will bring seed, MILLET, and poop to their water dishes daily. I do not mind cleaning them but I can not exist 24/7 for when they poop within the water.
The wild birds determined ways to get water from all of these following a couple of hrs. They seal well, hold water well, tend to be more sanitary than water dishes, and the wild birds don't go thirsty. That's all we would like within our birds' water source!Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. By M. Grogan on April 6, 2013
Is effective for all of us. Our little Quaker Parakeet thought his "Drinking Dish" would be a undersized bathtub so he Didn't have freshwater. The Lixit Bird Bottle solved that. It leaked slightly at first, and so i placed a little dish under it, the ball sitting down within the very first day.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... I'd something similar to this year's ago in my parakeets and cockateils. I purchased that one in my finches. No dripping and filling the seed pan and underneath with water to leak on my hardwood floor. They figured it here real quick.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback...
