By norma on May 20, 2011
Initially when i first opened up the package, I wan't sure relating to this feeder. It had not been as sturdy when i had wished, but For that cost, what did I expect?
After I filled the feeder and placed it within my backyard, I discovered precisely how great this feeder is really! The wild birds within my backyard LOVE this feeder. I have tried personally this same seed in another feeder and the wild birds would go to a couple of occasions each day but now that it's within this feeder, they cannot get enough. I've wild birds in the feeder each time I watch out your window, throughout the entire day. A set of cardinals continues to be visiting frequently, too. I've had a larger volume of wild birds and a greater variety of birds than previously (with utilizing the same seed in a different sort of feeder).
The tray at the base appears to avoid more seed from falling down and enables bigger wild birds, for example cardinals, to give. The perches are simply suitable for small wild birds for example finches and Sparrows. Birds such as starlings (which ward off better wild birds) don't appear to become attracted a lot for this feeder, that is a plus.
The very best opens easily to fill whilst the feeder continues to be hanging. The wire hanger is sturdy and appears enjoy it should endure for any lengthy while.
You will find certainly better, more costly feeders available and individuals might be more appropriate to have an enthusiastic bird watcher. But for the casual bird watcher (enjoy having wild birds around whenever you watch out your window) This can be a affordable, effective birdfeeder. Comment Was this review useful for you? By Mer584 on November 14, 2011
Okay and so i wanted an inexpensive birdfeeder and I acquired one. The wild birds LOVE the feeder. They feel the whole tube within per week and that they like located on the the underside tray. Additionally, it holds several wild birds at any given time, I've on several occasions seen 4-5 wild birds about this feeder at the same time. Lets arrive at the pros and Cons. I have not OWNED another birdfeeder therefore if they are problems universal to birdfeeders...then that is the way it's.
PROS
1) even though it's fairly cheap plastic, It seems very sturdy and has held up over the last month without any problems
2) It holds lots of wild birds at the same time, giving them many options of places to sit
3) The wild birds appear to actually like it and revisit even though neighbors also provide feeders.
4) You can easily use, just pull the fill up, pour seed in, hang up. No set up or annoying parts.
CONS
1) Though it has got the nice tray to trap the seed at the end the wild birds love, my deck continues to be COVERED in seed. This can be the responsibility of the wild birds tossing it everywhere, or even the wind blowing or whatever but I figured getting the tray might mean I possibly could still go out there without tracking everything in at the base of my ft, but that's not the situation.
2) I compensated just a little over $13 on amazon . com and saw it at Home Depot (same one) for around $9...Which was disappointing, amazon . com usually triumphs within the cost department.
3) The final 1.75 inches of food within the tube isn't available to the wild birds anytime. They cannot achieve it, so any time you grow it that last bit stays at the end, growing older and older. I ultimately required the underside bit out and stuffed some plastic towards the bottom to reduce losing seed.
4) Taking seed out..... Read more › Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. By wrpercival on This summer 5, 2012
I'd didn't have a birdfeeder before, and so i purchased that one to check it out.
it lasted in regards to a week. Squirrels got onto it and ate with the plastic tube store the feed.
Should you have the means to suspend this feeder that's "squirrel proof" it's a good option. otherwise, you might want to consider another thing.

Simple to fill and the wild birds loved it. Unless of course you can preserve the squirrels out, this feeder is going to be torn in a few days. They ate the plastic cups that steer clear of the seed from receding. Now after i attempt to grow it, all the seeds fall to the ground1 Comment Was this review useful for you? showed up broken.... Missing perch/port..
Otherwise made from cheap, thin plastic..
Need short stainless screw to carry base together.
Plastic tabs made to hold everything together would fail after filling with seed.
don't recommend.1 Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. Sorry, we unsuccessful to record your election. Please try again 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful More than "cracked" corn

I love the feeder, but I do not like getting to purchase one each year. The plastic isn't Ultra violet resistant and breaks lower within annually. Becomes very brittle and vulnerable to breaking.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. By Nanodog on December 30, 2011
This feeder is very sturdy and bigger than some. It's not made from cheap flimsy plastic and the issue basin is very large. I purchased one and the wild birds required into it immediately. I put finch food inside it and I personally use the Finch Feeder settings on top holes and regular seed settings at the base holes. I loaded it with Quality Finch Seed that we purchased here. Since I'm a person in Project Feeder Watch I'm very excited to determine many types of wild birds feeding onto it. I've now purchased another on for that backyard and I made the decision to purchase a different sort of seed to make use of inside it to draw in a level bigger number of wild birds.
I've owned many varieties of feeders through the years and I must state that that one is probably the best. It's very simple to vary from Thistle/Finch setting to regular setting. The issue tray is very large and it's so simple to dismantle to clean. You can't fail buying this feeder. It holds about 1.5 pounds of seed and is all about 2 feet high.
again, I suggest this feeder and the cost just can't be beat.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. Sorry, we unsuccessful to record your election. Please try again See all 81
