By Nopity Nopelstein VINE VOICE on June 7, 2009 I've this feeder placed right outdoors my window of my first floor apartment. I initially first got it for that cats' entertainment, and Am glad Used to do.
I initially were built with a feeder bell hanging in the second floor apartment's balcony, but made the decision it had not been enough.
I got myself this feeder for that sparrows and used the least expensive bird feed available. Once I switched to sunflower seeds only I'm now getting sparrows, FINCHES and starlings. The lower side because the perches weren't created for starlings so they need to achieve around to among the other holes to have their food.
Any longer, I'm able to get 5 approximately onto it at the same time with 2 or 3 chilling out around the chain it hangs from browsing line.
I truly love this little feeder and have experienced it since December '08. Never had an issue with squirrels, but it might be due to the way I've it setup.Comment Was this review useful for you? This really is what I had been searching for to exchange other feeders. good cost and it's versatile - may use either sunflower seeds or turn the caps to make use of smaller sized feed.Comment Was this review useful for you? By steveschulz on October 11, 2014
I live all year round inside a heavily wooded campground. I really like nature wild birds and spend lots of money on costly wild bird blends but Mostly what I actually do is watch the squirrels take advantage of my feeders. The squirrels abound and no squirrel proof feeder I've tried (and that's several) has already established any success in deterring the squirrels. They are able to defeat any feeder. Approximately I figured until I purchased this Perky-Pet 3261 a few days ago. The 6 ports about this feeder are adjustable. They may be closed for feeding thistle or left open for bigger seeds for example sunflower. The wild birds can and do easily perch and eat in the open ports. The perches are short but even wild birds as huge as cardinals don't have any problem feeding. Numerous squirrels have rose the shepherd's hook and attempted every way they are able to consider to obtain around the cylinder formed feeder simply to be frustrated and climb back lower. A few have leaped towards the feeder but without a penny but individuals short pegs to understand they cannot hang on and fall down. They still try but none has been successful. For among the less costly feeders available on the market that one can not be beat for feeding your wild wild birds and not the squirrels. I recommend this feeder and is going to be ordering a few more today. you've got a real champion here.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By Marjorie E. Pizzino on June 21, 2014
I purchased the product due to the design. It doesn't possess a bottom bowl. That's what I desired to help keep the doves from the feeder. The very first feeder showed up. It cracked when I place the seed inside it. it had been replaced quickly, not a problem. The 2nd feeder showed up. I gave it a close look compared to first once i place the seed in and the seed just began trickling the bottom. The workmanship is extremely poor. Along side it seams don't fit together snugly nor perform the bottom seams fit from the bottom plate firmly. The feeder is hanging outdoors now but I am planning on are not permanent lengthy. That one is mad in China. I'll replace that one soon.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. The wild birds love this feeder. The only real downside, is that they are eating me from house and home! I purchased a couple of these and wish I'd about 4 more.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. By No.one on The month of january 30, 2015
Drop the idea of or money. I was expecting cheap but this really is absurd. The plastic does not even get together somewhere there is a split so wide seeds would fall through. Each side water would pour in whether it rained. I duct recorded it together throughout the wintertime and will chuck it early in the year.Comment Was this review useful for you?
