By Chase Martin on This summer 5, 2006 The Sail Barge would be a highly requested set. I had been a little skeptical about how this set works initially when i first learned about it. it really works...and is effective.
What an array of minfigs! I figured the Gammorean Guard have been lost forever. Jabba would be a no-brainer but I am glad to determine the Gammorean. Lando's helmet...It's just like a factor of beauty. I had been expecting a samurai helmet but Lego tricked me and pulled this awesome helmet. Cheers! We got Slave Leia back! YaY! It was a pleasant jackpot of figures. Additionally, it has R2(With drink server), luke, han, and boba.
You most likely did not would like to get this for that figures,(or have you?)so how's the barge? A word: Beautiful. The barge is alot more than what it appears as though around the box. The stickers aren't everything bad. Don't hurt me... Well anyway my 3 actual complaintes would be the Boba Fett launcher and the sails. The Boba Fett launcher, is well, unnatural. I do not enjoy it. I required mine off, it isn't essential anyway. The sails will always be in the manner when placing figures. It get's annoying. Individuals are my two complaints. The inside from the barge is very comfortable and is ,well, just dandy.
The skiff is a far greater improvement in the original. The plank has become big enough for any figure to face on. ou peut-rrtre un really pull the plank out this time around. This is an ingenious design. The skiff is excellent and nice little addition.
The sarlaac is quite plain and the figures don't easily fit in it's mouth. But meh. Im might have bought the set with no sarlaac anyway.
Exactly what a great set. It's certainly worth $75. Heck, it's worth much more but we obtain it only at that cost range. This set is certainly on top 5 finest the exorcist sets ever. Have this like a birthday present or christmas. I'd have this within the new Imperial Star Destroyer anyday. have this set and Be Happy You Probably Did.Comment Was this review useful for you? By Lonnie E. Holder HALL OF FAME TOP 1000 REVIEWER VINE VOICE on September 6, 2006 The Exorcist Legos are available in all shapes and Dimensions. This set is very large with many different features. The sail barge is all about 18" lengthy, causeing this to be set among the bigger takes hold its cost range. Among the best options that come with this set would be that the sides from the barge open, permitting use of interior features and a great way of placing figures.
There's a convention's price of figures within this set. Obviously there's Jabba, but there is also Lando Calrissian, Han Solo, princess leia, though I had been under thrilled by her slave costume top, Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett, and a Gamorrean guard. There is also a Sarlacc Pit with swiveling jaws. The Sarlacc Pit is among the lesser features within this set. The jaws are a little too promising small to fit a personality easily in to the mouth. A few of the character facts are excellent. I particularly enjoy Boba Fett and Lando's helmets.
Additionally towards the opening sides, the barge features a swiveling gun and is loaded with lots of flat areas for figures. You can easily add a lot more figures towards the decks from the barge. You may want to take away the sails for figure placement, but the sails are relatively simple to get rid of and replace. You can just leave either off for play, and send them back for display. There's additionally a caged area around the barge. Numerous small information on the barge make nice touches. You will find chicken legs, a number of hands weapons, and a snake. The barge is filled with features which will invite creativeness in display or play.
Another nice feature of the set may be the desert skiff. The skiff is all about 8" lengthy, and includes a swiveling plank. The skiff also features its own stand which makes it simple to display or use within play.
This set is greater priced than many Lego sets. This set also offers a lot more features than many Lego sets. Read more › Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By John Faughnan on September 29, 2006 I quailed whenever a rash promise forced me to pay out $80 approximately with this package. I had been wrong to grimace, the cash was wisely spent. On the each hour and pride measure it had been cheap.
It's not an insignificant task to construct this. One reviewer claimed their boy assemble it within an hour -- I believe he's whether world champion builder or they published around the wrong toy. A middle-aged adult novice builder would take many hrs to complete this. Within our situation it required longer, as our boy has some relative disabilities that needed a unique approach.
I had been happy with how good our approach labored. During the period of about 7-10 1-2 hour sessions we've build the sail barge. Fundamental essentials techniques we accustomed to allow a unique needs child to achieve success: (excerpted from the blog 'be the very best you are able to be':
# Never let unmanaged accessibility package or even the pieces. It's trivial to get rid of pieces. Within our situation a couple of minutes of out of control access could be lethal towards the package. We keep your put together pieces inside a plastic bin and the various components in other smaller sized bins -- all kept in an inaccessible area between build sessions.
# You will find countless parts. The greatest construction challenge is finding parts. Obvious baggies are the buddies - gallon and quart/liter sized. Divide parts up first by color (odd colors match) then by size (large/small) and store them in baggies. Some colors could get partitioned into 3 sizes. Do that dividing in advance, you wouldn't want your modeler carrying this out.
# Consider putting similar parts together. This may assist with search, though sometimes separating them is really a nuisance. It's type of fun though.
# Look for parts within the baggies, preferably without having to open the baggies. This cuts lower on lost parts. Read more › Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback...
