Works great for my D750
By Dave Wohl on November 28, 2014
My only complaint concerning the grip is the fact that I needed to wait a few days for this to get available. I needed to shoot a couple of Facebook & VB games without grip once i received my D750 and recognized just how much I missed it.
The MB-D16 labored with my D750 flawlessly away from the box, and is constantly on the work fine after 2 several weeks and several a large number of pictures. The dials were just a little stiff initially, but loosened up fine following a couple days of usage. Very little else to say of this item... should you prefer a grip for the D750, you cannot fail with this particular one.2 Comments 2 of two people found this useful. Was this review useful for you? By Joe Ownbey on Feb 22, 2015
I've two Nikon D750 cameras and two MB-D16 grips. So far as I am concerned check your grip is very beneficial for each professional photographer who shoots on location and who must aim for lengthy amounts of time. The sunshine weight grip - that holds another battery enabling you to keep aiming towards hrs on finish - comes with an extra shutter button ergonomically positioned for vertical shots. I have used Nikon grips for my last several Nikon dSLR cameras (D300, D700, D600), and I consider them integral to efficient aiming towards my photo assignments. These grips are consistently dependable, durable and Highly suggested.Comment 4 of 5 people found this useful. Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... It required forever to obtain this factor but I understood that getting it might be essential in my type of shooting. I have used the version for that D700, the D200 and D300.
The key part: From the perspective, really the only need to make use of this Power Pack and Grip is to buy Lengthy shooting occasions and the easiest method to do this would be to load it with Panasonic Enveloop or Eneloop Pro Ni-mh batteries. Putting an additional Nikon Battery within the grip provides you with run time but let's say both of them go lower. You will be waiting for you to charge or you are outa luck unless of course you will find the AA carrier handy. If you possess the AA battery drawer in, just grab some Alkalines and You are in business. The Eneloop batteries will prove to add a few pounds but it's worthwhile to obtain the hrs of additional shooting time. Make certain you've got a good charger for the Eneloop batteries. I like the Nitecore i4 (Version 5) available on . Important too: Remember to visit your settings and tell your camera what type of batteries have been in check your grip. This way you will get a precise representation of remaining battery existence within the display.Comment 1 of just one people found this useful. Was this review useful for you? By Enjaume on May 18, 2015 When utilizing this using the D750 body and while using battery within the MB-D16 first, as soon as the battery is exhausted (and there's NO warning that it's about to die), it is not possible to open the menu so the only way to change to the battery in the camera body is to remove the MB-D16 ! Surely Nikon might have found a means for that switch to be automatic. Either that or send the consumer an alert the battery within the MB-D16 is going to die.Comment 3 of four people found this useful. Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By John D T. On August 28, 2015
It's a pleasant heft and I'm able to even see a part of its magnesium frame by searching in to the battery compartment in an unpainted portion. Also reassuring to achieve the reassurance that it is Nikon accessory on the Nikon camera body having a Nikon USA Warranty.
I have used an aftermarket grip on my small D7100 previously and have had a great (although temporary, IE. under twelve months) knowledge about a business known as "Vello". with this, I selected to buy another Vello grip in my D750, but this time around I experienced difficulties with the joystick around the grip being hard to rely on. It had been as though the joystick wasn't re-centering every time that was an annoyance. Whether it was consistent, I possibly could have labored around it for that cost I compensated for this, but it had not been and if this malfunction it had been always an unexpected in an inopportune time. However, ignoring the chance that I acquired a poor sample, the Vello did weight a couple of grams greater than the Nikon grip. I am presuming due to extra plastic utilized in its construction to really make it as durable because the lighter magnesium Nikon grip. This is a good factor within my eyes since i will be a little worried when the plastic Vello considered under the magnesium Nikon.
The command dials around the Vello grip were also much simpler to spin, both front and rear dials. The Nikon grip includes a very tight front dial, especially difficult to spin whether it's warm and your fingers aren't absolutely dry. I am wishing the leading dial about this Nikon grip "breaks in" as they say, and becomes simpler to spin. The trunk dial around the Nikon grip is simpler to spin, but not nearly as simple as the dial around the D750 body itself. Read more › Comment Was this review useful for you? Should you possess a D750, this can be a must own. The batteries can last for multiple photo sessions or perhaps a lengthy day's wedding shooting. The plus side is also that it helps balance the camera with larger lenses (ie 28-70 2.8).Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback...
