EXCELLENT Ear Wash
By Sarah Lengthy on March 12, 2009
This is a great product. It dissolves wax rapidly and cleans lightly. I have tried on the extender within my standard poodle's ears for any year now - tea tree oil is anti-viral, Antibiotic, Anti-yeast and (In my opinion) anti-inflammatory too!Comment 7 of seven people found this useful. Please try again Toxic to Cats - Be Cautious
By Cirroc on March 21, 2011 Tea tree oil is toxic to cats in most but the tiniest doses. A cat's liver is incompetent at processing it. To have an average cat weighing seven to 12 pounds, approximately 1 1/two to three teaspoons of tea tree oil could be lethal. Due to this cats will not be given anything further than 1 to 5 drops of tea tree oil per teaspoon of carrier oil. Exactly the same factor pertains to small, and some medium-sized dogs.
One more reason to prevent using tea tree oil on small creatures is they have a tendency to lick themselves and finish up ingesting the oil.
The majority of the cat deaths from tea tree oil originate from people using tea tree flea & tick treatments that are put on the human body from the cat. The product is used only within the ear. Nevertheless, because of the extreme toxicity of tea tree oil to cats, I'd be very careful. May be the ear wash so essential that it's worth risking your cat's existence? Possibly try another product first.2 Comments 8 of 9 people found this useful. Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By Angelfuzz on September 20, 2011 The product may reason that the dosage is sufficiently small to make use of in cats, but the truth is tea tree oil is really a known poison for them. I do not care how little there's within this formula, i do not think the product ought to be available on the market. Can you clean your son or daughter's ears with a little bit of strychnine? I would not.Comment 7 of 9 people found this useful. Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us.
