Awesome breaker!
By Melanie C TOP 1000 REVIEWER on May 2, 2012
A great breaker for top-amp applications! I personally use it within my RV in my deep cycle battery connect. it really works like no bodies business, and if I have to 'break circuit', you simply hit the 'test' button on the top to trip the breaker. Putting it in is simply by 'pulling a trigger', because the breaker reset is horizontal.
I mounted it to my battery box, and then ran my 1/ cable into it. The posts are 1/4", so use big eye lugs...lots of publish length to correctly connect big cables...for those who have 1/4" eye lugs on their behalf. I ran over 90-amps through it, with no heat or threat of tripping...accidentally had a short (big shorts make BIG flashes!), and it tripped immediately.
love this factor...it's kind of pricey, but it's well worth the cash! I will be ordering a different one after i give a parallel battery to my RV basement the following month.Comment 4 of four people found this useful. Was this review useful for you? By Big Papa on June 25, 2015
This is one way to visit in case your fed up with replacing inline fuses or, much like me, did not wish to wreck havoc on keeping fuses handy. I've got a 1500 watt power invertor within my truck and I'd installed a 150 amp breaker for this. It's so simple to use and install which i bought this 100 amp for that amplifier within the same truck. Males and their toys, right?!? It should be installed as close to the power source as possible (inside a feet!!). I mounted mine right underneath the hood about 10 inches in the battery. It's rubber caps to pay for the terminals and a test button to trip the breaker (that we use basically know I will not be utilising it to have an long time). It is also super easy to reset it when the breaker journeys, even at nighttime!!Comment 1 of just one people found this useful. Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By CathyM on The month of january 24, 2014 This item (pictured) is definitely an auto reset under 50 amp circuit breaker. It's not a CB185100, it's not flush mount. By Tomas A. Maly on June 22, 2013
I had been searching for any breaker will be able to place between my solar charge controller and 12v batteries and this appeared probably the most straightforward. One disappointment would be that the terminals appear a little small, it really can't house anything thicker than 6 gauge. Should you put thinner wires then you'll obtain a current drop and lose some power. It's suggested for 100 amps on 12VDC you have a maximum of 2 ft of 6 gauge wire on either direction between your breaker and the ability source or battery source.
The ad also states 12V although the unit has writing saying 42V maximum. I'll say it is a bit odd to have it to operate at 42V and not make use of 48V. It most likely means you actually should not make use of this for over a 24V/36V system anyway.1 Comment 4 of 6 people found this useful. Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By LCBic on March 17, 2014
I made the decision to make use of this product after i added a dual battery setup on my small Yamaha Rhino. I mounted it not far from the 2nd battery underneath the motorists seat. It is a brand name and seems to become built perfectly. I love that you could by hand break the circuit by pushing the red button. Resetting the breaker is equally as easy. There has not been grounds for that breaker to trip, to ensure that has not been tested but I've pointless to consider it wouldn't work. I'd buy another one of these simple breakers as needed.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. By Romby on April 18, 2015
I got myself a Superwinch 3500 in my 2013 Polaris Sportsperson 500 HO, but the 100 amp breaker that included it's a joke. The breaker isn't waterproof and the maker recommended to wrap it in electricians tape. What? I got myself this Bussmann 100 amp that is completely waterproof and was super easy to set up near the battery tray. no tape, don¡¯t worry. In the event the breaker should trip it may be easily reset by pushing in the lever.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback...
