Is effective using the Fresh Saver vacuum.
By steveeb on August 16, 2011 Size: gallon, 8-Count
52 of 54 people found this review useful The FoodSaver zip lock bags to be used using the FreshSaver pump really are a bit pricey so I decided to give these a go.
By all appearances they appeared compatable but I wasn't sure until I attempted them myself.
they work great! They are definately of less quality (-1 star) than the FoodSaver bags (the plastic feels thinner and how they sealed round the zipper part appears not just like the FoodSaver bags), but they work and to have their seal. I packaged one bag of peanuts over the other day, and three bags of espresso beans five days ago and they all are still fully sealed and airtight. Just ensure that you really review the zipper a couple of occasions to make certain it's locked from finish to finish. Also DON'T OVERFILL THEM. When the food you're sealing will get too near to the zipper, once the air is taken away, this makes stress around the seal and you will likely loose your seal over a couple of days. Provide the zipper a couple of inches of room between it an the meals and you, it ought to keep the seal.
I acquired 24 gallon sized bags for that cost of 12 FoodSaver bags so overall It would be a good purchase.
P.s. I can not imagine getting to "pump" the air by hand using the ZipLock bicycle tire pump like factor. Individuals individuals with this pump might want to consider the FoodSaver Fresh Saver pump. It is a little rechargable electric pump which makes short work of having the environment from these bags.4 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By dream factory on June 25, 2011 Size: QUART, 12-Count 33 of 35 people found this review useful June bananas, This summer particularly, peaches, cherries, flash frozen fresh.
My spouse introduced this latest fangled gadget pump home combined with the " special " bags. Err? What's this now? Could not you simply acquire some freezer bags?. . . . Well it did not take lengthy to determine the advantages of this handy invention.
1- take the fresh selected fruits in in the orchard.
2- give em a fast wash, and cut them into nice pieces. . .To date so great.
3- now here you are able to lay em all lower in one layer, or pile all of them in. Easier to put em lower in one layer.
4- zip seal the bag together with your thumb.
5- use the small plastic pump to the quarter sized circle around the bag.
6- pump away for around thirty seconds.
7- that's it ! Throw it within the freezer and in around an hour it's frozen solid.
The plastic conforms towards the contour from the fruits while you generate All of the air. So there's no room for freezer ice to create and burn your fruit. Its all flat so that you can easily store many of these within the freezer. And merely take em out since you need them.
The product delivers an easy method of freezing fruits, veggies, Meat, whatever.
And I must express it - - yes my spouse was right again. .. She's always right.5 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By Lemis on May 24, 2013 Size: QUART, 12-Count
11 of 11 people found this review useful I'm not sure why but my local grocery shops no more carry these and bought from . I personally use Reynolds Handi-Vac in it. No, don't spend $20 to have an adaptor. You just need a plastic bottle cap that matches the circle of Ziploc bag. I used a Gatorade (20Fl Oz) bottle cap. It's bigger compared to Ziploc circle but it really works. Just drill a tiny hole (exactly the same size Reynolds inner hole) Within the center. This is actually the real recycling!1 Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. By Customer on Feb 21, 2013 Size: QUART, 12-Count 5 of 6 people found this review useful I needed permanent vacuum storage bags to keep some no-longer-available ammunition in my fathers antique Winchester Model 1906. The ammunition has not occurred because the the 70's and can't be found any more. I purchased 3 boxes five years ago and which was pretty much the finish of availability.
Then when I attempted 6 of those bags, every time all of them lost the vacuum over-night regardless of how carefully I zipped the bag.
And So I attempted sealing the bag with plastic glue around the hole in which you suck the air. That made no difference.
So i quickly applied the plastic adhesive towards the entire entire zipper before closing the baggage. To date the baggage are actually sealed tight as drum for five days. If anybody includes a similar need, I made use of Loctite Plastic & Plastic adhesive from or perhaps your home improvement store.
The FoodSaver bags are a lot better than the Ziplock bags and cost about 3 occasions just as much. For just about any make an effort to get permanent vaccum storage using the FoodSaver bags, they ought to be glued. They hold for any couple of days when you are getting them sealed right, but not for days or longer.1 Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback...
