164 of 167 people found the following review helpful Just Buy This By Michael Florindi on November 28, 2006 Hi, I pummelled reviews of gravel vacs for nearly per week. look, this factor cost three occasions the standard 2 c-batt vacs. just purchase it. The factor rocks !. Top of the area the thing is in gray-white-colored is 6 inches of micro mesh plastic to fill with garbage. You simply press 2 buttons to detatch it and go rinse in out. The entire factor is submergable. Even the "On" button locks in. So it's not necessary to hold it. I did not provide a 5 since i feel they might have added a mix underneath the impeller not to allow really small gemstones to obtain in there. I'd one lodge which helped me need to disconnect the section and Dump it. no biggie. Just being picky as this is an evaluation. Uses 4 AA included (Duracell) Wow. Has great suction. I press the low section completely within the stone and it really sucks lower to the foot of the tank. I'd rate this 4.8.2 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... I'd the multi-vac formerly. I've no difficulties with that except with time, the pieces will not stay together. I bought the sludge extractor (Petco) and I really like it. It reaches to the foot of my tank and I did not need to drain water. Pressure around the vacuum was greater than sufficient. I had been a little relunctant around the proce, but I am happy Used to do purchase it and Would recommend it to other people. Just look around for that cheapest cost.3 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. There's not millions of electronic vacuums available on the market but the majority of them cost under that one. Which makes them VERY tempting. However, there are lots of stuff that get this to well worth the money: - Plastic mesh filter: The cheaper ones exit right into a cheap cloth bag that keeps coming loose. - Suction: This factor has GREAT suction. You can observe all the debris getting opened up. - simple to clean: Remove the filter and rinse it underneath the faucet. - quality: This FEELS solid. Another vacuums feel cheap like they'll break at any time. - Creates bigger tanks: It has an extension which you can use for those who have a mid sized tank. Simply wanted to talk about some advice. it does not seem like it, but you are able to take away the cap at the end from the mesh filter to really make it simpler to clean out all the debris drawn up through the vacuum. A great tool if you wish to cleanup a little between water changes, or if you wish to cleanup throughout a water change but don't wish to remove sinking. By Shannon L Mobley on November 9, 2012 I've got a 45 woman cube aquarium which i make use of this on two times each day. Before purchasing it, I'd read numerous reviews concerning the smaller sized particles that escape the mesh basket. well, I made the decision to test something. I purchased some 50 micron filter padding and work to suit within the mesh basket so no mesh is open. After I got the right size, I cut several at any given time to possess on hands. ANYWAYS, I simply place the micron pad within the mesh basket and more junk is caught and less cloudy water!! I get just a little cloudiness, but not near around Used to do the very first time I made use of it with no micron filter. Once finished, I go ahead and take filter from the mesh basket and rinse rid of it and shake it perfectly and let air dry. While using micron pad also provides me with an opportunity to look carefully in the poo and make certain I do not use whatever apparent parasites!! I understand it is really an extra step but it's one which I do not mind whatsoever because it really solved the problem using the cloudy water during use.1 Comment Was this review useful for you? I wish to start by saying I cast no dispersions on individuals who've found the EHEIM Quick Vac Pro to become greater than sufficient. I'm not in the industry of casting judgment on anyone's knowledge about the product. My whole approach will be truthful and accurate within my analysis. That being stated, I've because of the EHEIM Quick Vac Pro sufficient testing and have determined there are TWO major foibles. The provided video will help potential customers realize that the product Isn't 100%, and validate some low ratings in regards to this product. NOTE that this analysis is no reflection on the vendor (My EHEIM Quick Vac Pro purchase was offered by Companion Caterers - featured seller has become ValuePetSupplies). These complaints are caused by a number of EHEIM problems regarding low quality control, poor design, or perhaps a hurry to promote. I got myself the kodak playtouch camcorder, on 7 March 2013, to assist me within the cleaning of my 40 gallon Uniquarium during recovery from hernia surgery. Anticipating a useful tool, it didn't take lengthy to demonstrate itself under capable. There's two major foibles: Foible ONE: Impeller Jamming The inclination for that impeller to jam is rather quick. The close clearance between your impeller and the siphon intake seems is the issue. This is a major show-stopper for any aquarium cleaning aid (One wants an `aid' to complete its job, not increase the cleaning task). Foible TWO: Battery Compartment Seal The isn't any matching interface lip between your o-ring and Battery compartment. There is only one o-ring in an area which can (and can) be flexed through the user because they energize and deenergize the system, and slowly move the unit with the aquarium water and gravel. For any true water-tight seal, there must be several point securing the cap towards the housing. Read more › 37 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback...
