14 of 15 people found the following review helpful call sequence design flaw
By Floating Weed on The month of january 10, 2013 We advised our mother to buy this because we thought she'd be more prone to press the emergency button when there was a computerized sequence of help calls that begin with known buddies/relatives and only in the end seem to be known as, then calls 911. But after testing it there appeared to become a negative for the reason that procedure. The individual wanting help might know they require 911 yet they would need to wait because the FreedomAlert sequence known as each individual and, when the person wasn't available, there is a considerably lengthy wait composed from the telephone ringing until timeout or even the answering machine recording happening until timeout. The straightforward response to this is to apply a control button sequence where the person wanting help could skip straight to 911.
Furthermore there made an appearance to become not a way to join up the merchandise online - only a waxy card which was hard to write on. The credit card, which in fact had a spot for a stamp, requested for private information which seniors individuals are especially loath to reveal themselves nowadays. This will make the treating of the organization appear stodgy and anachronistic. I am just sayin'...
Overall FreedomAlert appears to become a excellent product aside from flaw of the inability to skip to 911. Maybe it was an advertising and marketing decision since another of the products, GuardianAlert, does exactly that. Although I have only skimmed the advertising, GuardingAlert appears like essentially exactly the same delivering device but it just calls 911. FreedomAlert could be set to only 911 by setting a turn on the bottom unit, so FreedomAlert has an option that changes it to be just like GuardianAlert (an individual using FreedomAlert may also talk with the pendant either to buddies known as or 911 known as).4 Comments Was this review useful for you? Product showed up just as described. Not really a difficult setup. Can't talk to the number at this time. My brothers and sisters considered mtss is a good option to having to pay monthy payments. I recommend visiting [...]. Great insight on selecting and using medical alert systems. If you won't want to visit this website, I'll pass on certainly one of it's first tips: "Involve the individual you're purchasing the system for within the making decisions process." The purpose being, that if they are not going to use it (or utilize it properly), there is not much sense in purchasing it, and they are more inclined to utilize it when they helped along the way.
Best of luck.1 Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. by S. Goldstein on May 16, 2012 This can be a follow-up to some review which i authored earlier concerning the Freedom Alert 911. I personally use mine only if I'm alone in the home for longer periods, which isn't frequently. so, after i visited use mine, the batteries were dead, and the charging unit within the base station wasn't charging the substitute battery. I known as Logic Mark to acquire new batteries, and the sales representative asked about my serial number, ETC. She explained the charging unit wasn't working correctly, and that they would send us a Completely New substitute unit. It showed up today, exactly 1 week after my telephone call, filled with the Li ion and Ni-mh battery sets. And readily stored away a more recent model, the main one with no upright antenna within the base station. I certainly could not request better customer support.1 Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. The product works fine away from the box. The instructions are often understood and programming within the phone figures to become known as before 911 isn't difficult--though I would not expect an seniors person to get it done by herself. The house base verifies each step having a voice response, together with a battery check in the finish of every use. Battery backup for coverage during power outages is a fairly feature.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Purchased this Freedom Alert in my 93 years old mother who lives alone nearby. I really like the truth that she will inform family first. I do not think she'd utilize it if perhaps 911 was known as. The product provides me with too my mother "Peace of Mind" every single day. The only issue we've had happens because my mother is leagley blind, it is hard for her to know if she is pushing the Panic button (Blue)or the Test button (grey). It is a good buy without any monthly charges.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. By LadySparkkle on September 28, 2014 We purchased the liberty Alert for the then 90 years old mother. She's now 92 and has "pushed the button" 6 or 8 occasions within the last 2 yrs. Every time the merchandise labored as designed with no flaw. We could react to her needs prior to the system switched towards the second phone number. However, in a single situation nobody was offered at the main number and not surprisingly the machine indeed stuck and known as us on the mobile phone that was our second programmed number. Then we taken care of immediately that decision. Our mother would not have the ability to cope with a telephone answering service it doesn't matter how good it had been. It might just confuse her and lead to unneeded 911 responses to the home. Disadvantages? Only one. There's a reasonably extended delay between your system calling and the recording machine announcement beginning. Its only 45 seconds, but appears considerably longer when there's a problem. Not an issue. just something to understand. Main point here, if the one you love is an extremely private person and could be confused with a non member of the family answering the telephone, this is actually the unit I'd recommend. Could it be foolproof? Is anything? A minimum of there's no fee every month to think about.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback...
