22 of 24 people found the following review helpful Swivel joint leaks, plastic garbage By Real Raleigh Reviewer on The month of january 21, 2012 Color: PVD Brushed Nickel I was searching for any "bridge-style" faucet for that kitchen for a while. Decided to spring on this one from . Let me just walk you through the thing before I give you the verdict (presuming you have not already observed the number of stars I gave it!) 1. Plastic. This factor has some metal and lots of plastic. The threaded studs in which you screw around the 1/2" ID faucet hoses are brass, but the wing nuts you utilize to screw them to the sink are common black plastic. I added threadlock to help keep it tight but... seriously. Plastic? You ought to have a copper or brass washer and Collar Nut. This really is cheap. The Whole threaded neck and fixture store the flexible-hose sprayer is plastic. everything. The threads are plastic. The wingnut is plastic. The cap on the top of stalk (which supports the swiveling faucet piece on) is plastic. There can be more. There's some real brushed nickel finish metal... and lots of plastic. 2. it leaks. I am not kidding. I understand plumbing, electrics, computer systems, Cars. I'm able to fix ANYTHING. I acquired all of the plumbing underneath the sink perfect, not really a drop anywhere after i switched water back on! Regrettably, there is a stable leak streaming from the swivel joint. The factor was completely new, straight as they are, everything was firm and Fitted, I even had the plastic onto it as i installed it, and it leaks. unbelievable. Don't even bother to begin with, the tap leaks in the swivel joint and you clearly do not want that from the new faucet. update: the O-rings are the wrong size within the joint. After a little journeys towards the store and frustrations I discovered some o-rings that got the swivel joint sealed... For the time being. Read more › 7 Comments Was this review useful for you? Quality appears good with a few exceptions By David A Jasa on May 11, 2014 Color: PVD Brushed Nickel I installed this faucet rapidly effortlessly. I'm not a plumber but I've installed numerous kitchen faucets within my lifetime. The constituents over the sink line were heavy metal and rock and seem to be of excellent quality. I'd zero leaks after installation but Used to do need to hands tighten the primary stem in the centre which was just a little loose in link with the bridge upon arrival. I most likely might have were built with a leak if I never checked the fitness just before activating water. I had a similar faucet (Another Brand) before one and observed a couple of lower quality products with this particular one. The sprayer hose on my small old faucet had a stainless-steel rib around the hose and that one only had the conventional plastic hose. I additionally observed the connection for that sprayer hose towards the base underneath the sink would be a plastic fitting. My old sprayer were built with a metal threaded Connection. The plus would be that the plastic fitting is really a quick push and snap connection which made the task simpler and Faster. However I question if the thin plastic coupling should handle the ages. I will not know until I own this for time. I'd have provided it 5 stars otherwise for that quality short cuts around the sprayer hose and Connection. I actually do such as the appearance and cost of the faucet. Just like many faucets today, It's produced in China. I really hope I'm able to get parts later on basically need them. I actually do see there's an internet site with this brand which provides me hope there's parts availability. Top tips for brand new installs: Because the handles are wide, they are usually too near to the sprayer. If you're cutting holes within the sink top, you may consider putting the sprayer hole just a little further right compared to standard distance to support this.1 Comment Was this review useful for you? By Stinky Special on December 13, 2012 Color: Chrome The new water won't turn off. I needed to power it down in the turn off underneath the sink. Likely to call and find out if I'm able to have it fixed. I ought to have tied to what my plumber explained and purchased a Delta faucet. Irrrve never have challenge with individuals. This faucet is gorgeous and goes very well within my Victorian home. It's a shame the quality isn't good. Very disappointed. I suppose it had been an offer which was too good to be real. I'll finish up having to pay around I purchased it for to achieve the plumber come and Repair it. Wondering basically must scrap it and spend money else. do not buy this... save for something higher quality.1 Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Getting an additional expense and visit to the shop to set up wasn't within my plans. Overall tho, this faucet is gorgeous! Fits design for my 1950's home perfect. However, 2 several weeks after do the installation created a major leak and drip! Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... I had been just a little disappointed that whenever I rushed to purchase a faucet fast since the kitchen at home was inoperable I later recognized I possibly could go towards the sellers actual website and become the tap cheaper by something similar to $15 and still had free delivery. However that was my very own fault because of not searching and being in this hurry. It showed up about 4 days after purchase and although I loved the tap and it felt very heavy and sturdy this area would be a complete mess. It didn't effect the merchandise though. This faucet is very top quality for what we compensated. We compensated two times just as much for any Lowes faucet last year that never functioned properly from jump. Some have pointed out that there's no weight around the sprayer and so i saved the load from the old faucet to make use of but we didn't require it. The sprayer faucet is really heavy and solid Personally i think like adding fat loss towards the hose would most likely cause dings and scratches at the bottom of the mount and sprayer since they're solid. The sprayer retracts perfectly without them. Best purchase we've designed for our new house in a long time.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback...
