A Viking of the Pan, fit for Feast or Fancy! + Updates!
By Cake Grrrl TOP 1000 REVIEWER VINE VOICE on November 14, 2014 Vine Customer Review of Free Product 10 of 10 people found this review useful After I would be a very youthful bride living around the border of St. Louis Park and Minneapolis during the '70's, my hubby and I resided a stone's throw from the Nordic Ware store. EVERY lady in Minnesota understood the caliber of their goods and they wound up on everyone's Wedding Gift List or Holiday. Even today, 4 decades after receiving my first of numerous-many Bundt pans produced by Nordic Ware, that first pan continues to be in perfect condition and turning out perfect Bundt cakes. :D
so, it had been without any introduction essential to that incredible company and their standards which i leaped at the opportunity to do this intriguing and innovative 4-Compartment Pan, introduced by a dear gentleman named Eddie Stacey. Stacey receives full and glowing credit for inventing this pan and has the distinction of being a World Famous Stuntman (Who understood!) with 48 years within the film and television industry. Then he continued to build up restaurants, apparently in the free time, and with much more free time, invented this pan! Wow, what a man...a real polymath, to be certain!
Upon ordering, this pan shipped in a short time span: 16 hrs from "Confirm Order" to UPS a knockin' inside my door...right at that time I had been beating eggs for 2 omelets. Discuss fortuitous timing! All I'm able to have to say is "Thank Goodness I viewed the videos and visited the web site" because once unboxed and Cleaned, I put this to immediate use to create some custom omelets for my hubby and i.
Before I recieve into the way the pan works best for cooking, let us do statistics:
I measured the amount of water essential to fill water well: 4 oz .. Anything further than that and you will need a poultry baster to get rid of the liquid!
Each food well holds 6 ounces easily, so arrange for that volume. Read more › 15 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. By Allan A. VINE VOICE on November 23, 2014 Vine Customer Review of Free Product 4 of four people found this review useful I own several unique cooking tools designed to more specific cooking applications which have offered me well.
my spouse and I prepare a great deal in your own home and own an excellent quality and choice of cooking pans, containers griddles, and ovenware.
The Nordic Ware Eggs Plus Pan is really a unique cooking tool indeed. When you can't do large single potions of 1 recipe in which a common fry-pan would last better, this pan has some kind of special cooking possibilities.
Before I go into how it performed (very well over-all), Let me cover details in the construction and design that just become apparent if you have one with you.
This pan comes with an open bottom aluminum base. The 4 chambers within the pan actually don't get in touch if utilizing an electric glass top stove. In lounging metallic straight-edge over the outer aluminum rim of base, I noted all chambers are recessed about 1/16" inch approximately. What this means is for any glass top stove, you use radiant heat to heat individuals 4 chambers well as over-all, across the bottom of the pan. For individuals with gas, this most likely does not apply because the flame spreads out directly over the metal bottom.
For a open bottom pan, I'm much more happy to determine a pan having a firm base. It will make existence simpler throughout for implementing of all all stove tops. Outdoors bottom just appears to break into it's design. i'm, sure for cost purposes, eliminating a shut bottom about this pan saved lots of manufacturing expense.
to notice, the bottom of this pan has narrow (Aluminum) edges all around that contact the stove base (on the glasstop) because of the insufficient a good base. Used to do note a couple of "scrapes" of aluminum residue on my small clean glass top range. Read more › Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By Shaun Wignall VINE VOICE on November 24, 2014 Vine Customer Review of Free Product 3 of three people found this review useful Update: The month of january 16, 2015: ok, I have used this pan for around six days now and I just want to add a few quick comments (I believe updating reviews is a great factor, especially if the first review ended inside a relatively short time). I've really grown to love this pan a great deal and I really like will be able to prepare, say, two veggies and two burgers simultaneously--and also the moisture within the pan really assists in keeping hamburgers nice and moist. My only suggestion to the manufacturer (and If only these were needed to see reviews!) is the fact that I believe they might create a second type of pan with much deeper individual compartments. Should you put broccoli florets in a couple of from the compartments and place the lid on, there simply is not enough room. Either the lid must be greater or even the compartments have to be much deeper. also, I'm not sure why the base of the pan is the base of the individual compartments rather than a flat surface (that we think might distribute heat more evenly) and I did not even notice this until I had been washing it one evening. I'd seen it, but had not compensated attention. Anyway, this can be a really innovative and practical pan to make use of, but I'd really want to see a much deeper version. Apart from that, a good idea. My original review is below:
ORIGINAL REVIEW: sometime ago, from years of camping (and that i only owned one surefire pan in individuals days), I mastered the art of cooking a lot of different things together in a single pan--just to have myself the hassle of having to clean (or buy) a couple of pans. I believe the very first meal I mastered cooking in a single pan was scrambled eggs, Taters and another vegetable. I felt so victorious, LOL. And also, since then, Being single and somewhat lazy, one thing I challenge myself with regularly is attempting to prepare things in a single pan on my small stove in your own home.
