By Christine on June 22, 2015 Size: 70-Inch
Cost: B+
Purchased in on June 11, 2015. At that time the cost was $3299.99. I opened up a talk to a really friendly Repetition, and had them cost match to Sharp’s Website which decreased the cost to $2599.99. Today (June 20, 2015) has this TV listed for $2599.98. I'm able to accept overpaying with a cent.
Unboxing / Installation: A
The Television is extremely well packaged and contained lots of Styrofoam to help keep it protected on the road. The next products are incorporated within the box combined with the TV:
Two remote controls, one large IR, and one small Bluetooth, 4 AA batteries, two ft with mounting hardware, a USB extension cable, and IR Blaster (for seem bar only use – More about this later)
Brackets in my wall-mounted installed with no fuss, and The Television, while heavy was light enough for that wife, and I to lift (SIX Ft) into position with no real issue.
remote controls: IR C+ / Bluetooth B+
First the bigger IR remote is lengthy, and bulky and not well organized, it's also lacks backlighting. The 2nd remote is Bluetooth, and works fairly well, but the trackpad is a touch touchy. About 30 % of times an attempted click leads to upgrading or lower within the menu tree instead of choosing the item.
Both remotes have a similar serious flaw for the reason that their funnel up/lower buttons can't be programed to function a STB. It's very frustrating whenever you forget this, and attempt to alter the funnel simply to switch inputs to OTA, because it take no under 4 clicks/flicks to return to HDMI 1 where my Dish receiver is connected to.

PQ is excellent to excellent, and this set easily beats the Samsung H7150 it replaced. 4k content from Netflix, and YouTube is just amazing. Read more › 5 Comments Was this review useful for you? By eron on June 29, 2015 Size: 70-Inch Happen to be searching for any 70 inch 4k TV for a while. Attempted a The new sony XBR70X850B and was very disappointed within the Display Quality. Upscaled 1080i from Dish looked horrible with a lot of artifacts and the colour of fleshtones has this ugly Green/Eco-friendly crossover problem where darks are green and light tones are green.
This Sharp LC70UH30U has got the best picture I've come across on the TV! Unlike the jewelry on Samsung's glossy screens, the semi-matt screen about this Sharp plays well in normal living spaces with home windows and the upscaler does a great job increasing the picture of my sources. Color is extremely natural searching with no outstanding problems. The program, remote and internet options that come with this TV can use some improvement but none of those troubles are deal breakers for me personally. Allows face the facts...what is a TV for? watching television, and the image about this TV makes me want to undergo my media and see it once again simply to see what I have been missing!3 Comments Was this review useful for you? by J. Reilly on This summer 16, 2015 Size: 70-Inch I have had this for around per week and the image is stunning. The setup was simple.
Regrettably the "streaming with the Android TV" feature isn't terribly mature. (That's my nice method of saying "broken").
Beginning a title using, say, Hulu means that I will see the initial ad (maybe) and once the content should stream... I recieve seem and No Picture. I must back from the application and then resume watching the episode to be able to roll the dice and maybe obtain a picture. Whenever the image switches between an advertisement and content I lose video content. I'm able to still begin to see the bug within the corner that informs me what channel I'm watching (Comedy Central, ETC) and I can tell the ad countdown timer, but the image is black. Sometimes? It sometimes returns on and it's missing one. It's reminiscent only getting a VGA cable not connected completely. This really is absolutely not the situation here. It just looks broken (see pictures). It goes away upon restart from the media stream.
This is actually the "fun" part. No one can (or will) support it. Hulu states "it's great on the finish. We have reset your bank account and we can not find anything wrong". Sharp walked me via a full factory reset and update (funny since i had got the television literally 13 hrs earlier, but they needed so that you can state that I attempted that step) but "Have you attempted turning them back and on again?" did not solve my issue.
My Web connection is clocking in at 206MBPS lower and my ping is 23. I have have previously set my DNS servers to make use of openDNS, I am hardwired right in a switch box and then right to the router. No Wireless or weird other media box issues. By Louanne Curtis on September 7, 2015 Size: 70-Inch It's my job to don't write reviews but I needed to with this TV. I introduced this TV on August 20th having a college warranty. Please obtain the warranty with any smart TV. They're computers with TV tuners inside them. I just read lots of reviews visited different stores and it came down to this sharp TV or LG UF7700 (65"). My budget was 2500 and so i opted for the 70 inch. The PQ is great about this TV. Setup was fast and easy. Never really loved smart TV. This really is my first. I've been using Roku boxes for a long time. I acquired spoiled rather rapidly using the smart TV functions. I've one trouble with the television, android TV. They are are occasions when I wish to watch something and I recieve seem but No Picture. I'm about to achieve the TV serviced and if it doesn't get rectified will get a replacement (New). I'm not sure whether it's an update issue or simply a poor lemon. I called sharp who basically had me (1) unplug the television. (2) perform a hard reset, then (3) Factory totally reset. In the end 3 the issue still persists. Will be receiving the television serviced. Could keep you published on future progress. I can not say to not buy this TV since i only saw 1 other reviewer with similar problem, thus I am wishing I simply had a bad lemon. In conclusion please your favor break the television in throughout the warranty period. Any problems call sharp keep the situation number and All info.Comment Was this review useful for you?
