37 of 38 people found the following review helpful ideal for me, be aware of potential complications
By growngreen on August 19, 2014
It was a 5-star product for me personally, but in rating I must acknowledge the potential of issues for other people. This drawer cabinet arrives like a flat box and is really a construction project like in the Scandinavian blue supply yard. However, no funny fasteners here, just straightforward screws--that is possible since the materials are wood--no particalboard.
I needed a genuine-wood drawer unit like a base for any sewing table. I had been discarding the wheels, creating a plinth, and mounting the system within desktop. This pre-cut product satisfied my need very well. It saved me cutting a minimum of twelve dadoes and many frame pieces to size. The pieces showed up all precisely cut and drilled, and no missing hardware.
However, Bear in mind, Set up is needed. You'll build 6 drawers, pound in nylon drawer guides, and Assemble the frame.
The packaging was sufficient, but there have been a few small dings within the wood edge. (It's pine, not really a hardwood.) No problem for me personally inside a worktable, but happens to be an issue should you wanted cosmetically perfect. However, I doubt you're searching for fine furniture only at that cost point. (You will find similar style all-wood cabinets from a minumum of one other supplier which arrives all put together but Listed accordingly.)
A few my drawers were just a little sticky in sliding out, despite effort to help keep everything square and TRUE, but again not really a serious problem.
If you're handy and possess the persistence for any little construction time, the product provides you with the advantage of industrial pre-measured cutting, and you finish up after some solid-wood drawer looking for under the price of component materials from the home center.1 Comment Was this review useful for you? By Rudite U. Silc on October 29, 2014
I've got a defective front drawer panel that can not be fixed. I completed the "parts request" form around the Adeptus website and posted it. This is actually the ONLY a part of the website that actually works. Anything else is "under construction." Never heard away from them. Then I called them 4 (Four) occasions under 2 days and left my name, trouble with the drawer and telephone number using their voicemail. They never-never answer their phone, just goes straight to voicemail. never heard away from them. Now I've one other issue and among the do you have it fixed? Adeptus is unresponsive and does not care about that person who purchases their product. The roll cart pieces and parts are Cheap Chinese. The roll cart will get one star. Adeptus will get an F-.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. By Dianaru on September 14, 2014 Comes unassembled BUT....My 12 years old grand son put this together for me personally. It required him about 31/2 hrs. The time is right consuming but he made it happen with simply no the aid of anybody....consider getting in your can perform attitude. It's compact yet spacious enough to work best with my watercolor tubes of paint. It appears nice. Includes a fresh clean smell towards the wood. the rear and drawer bottoms are particalboard. The rest is wood. It's casters which roll fairly more than carpet. The drawers are shallow and slide out fine if there is not too much weight in them ...they really are a bit stickier. I additionally possess the Wide 8 drawer unit and can appear at first sight very handsome, good for craft products, moveable, smell great, and the organization has fantastic customer support. OH...I in addition have a similar product from another company in numerous's almost identicle and I compensated 3xs more for this...adeptus has got the best cost I have seen for something which looks this nice. Lookng to possibly buy another. Wish Adeptus designed a small matching caninet. Used to do mot get mine from since i did not view it but will later on.Comment Was this review useful for you? By jerseyred on September 19, 2014 How to start using the last hour and one half of my existence which i won't ever return.
First, one for reds of the royal pia showed up bowed/warped. Some of the drawer bottoms were and in this problem. This is an adorable design feature basically wanted a cupboard attracted by Dr. Seuss, but that wasn't the appearance I had been opting for. Determined to find out if I possibly could create a silk purse from a sow's ear, I soldiered on thinking, "maybe it isn't TOO warped compare unique car features." Might possibly not have been when the bow/warp have been the only issue.
problem: Dowel versus the opening the dowel is going into. Whomever made the dowels did not send the specs towards the guy who drilled the holes the dowels are meant to get into. And also the guy using the drill should have used two different sized drill bits, because a few of the dowels plain declined to get in the holes, while some fell lower to date that just a small fraction of them peeked up within the edge, giving no hope whatsoever they would effectively grab whatever piece these were said to be affix to. The dowels seem to be made of the identical pressed sawdust because the sides from the drawers, as a gentle tapping having a rubber hammer caused someone to shear quickly and disintegrate into dust.
problem: hole location. Communication within this factory blows! The man who drilled the holes for that top didn't use the man who drilled the holes for that side. They're from one another just by enough you need to tap the dowel to nudge it over. See issue concerning the crappy dowels pointed out above.
problem: casters. I'm not sure if there's a less expensive material than plastic to create this stuff from, but IF There's, then these casters are made from it. They do not roll.
