Is effective, but better intend on obtaining a little wet.
By Moadeb on April 22, 2011
Unlike proven within the picture you will wish to have these about 5-8 inches from the fringe of your paddles, if these pads go below water then water around the hands side from the pads will still drip lower. Once i found the right place around the paddle they did appear in which to stay place fairly well for me personally, but after studying previous reviews i made use of some zip strips to zip them into position. Just intend on having fun with them for 10 min to get the best place on their behalf in your paddle together with your paddling technique.Comment 19 of 19 people found this useful. By Andrew on August 9, 2010 I desired a brand new splash guard for that 260-mile Texas Water Safari, "The World's Toughest Canoe Race". I was expecting this splash guard might serve you for a day approximately prior to getting scammed with a tree branch or sunken log or prior to the Velcro gave out, a danger I had been prepared to take, but much as it turned out, it-not only survived the entire trip but stored my hands dry the whole way. (I ought to state that my hands being wet was my very own fault, not the responsibility of the splash pads.) My only gripe is the fact that, although the bottom of the splash guard has the capacity to keep water from dripping through, it doesn't close tightly enough to avoid slippage. Thus with time, you'll have to adjust the positioning of the splash pads. That they like to ride lower and stretch over your paddle blades whenever you aren't having to pay attention. At fast solution is always to tie a rubberband round the bottom of the guard to tighten the seal and hold it in position. Nevertheless, I give the product 5 stars for stopping my hands from embracing mush within the 260-mile race.1 Comment 21 of twenty-two people found this useful. Was this review useful for you? we thought they looked flimsy once they showed up but after taking them on what was nearly a whitewater trip they demonstrated that they are a lot better than the initial drip rings with an identical paddle. is going to be ordering more.Comment 13 of 13 people found this useful. These work a lot better than the stock splash pads. I merely use them within the stock ones. Keeps roughly 90% from the water that will jump on me, off me. Loved mine enough to obtain one for that wife! well worth the money.Comment 6 of 6 people found this useful. Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Purchased these splash pads when among the factory rubber ones was torn from my wife's kayak paddle. I have to admit they are a good improvement within the original splash pads. within our situation, we placed them ABOVE in which the original splash pads were placed, not touching the paddle blade, as proven within the picture. Would recommend them for anybody searching for any good splash guard. As winter is on its way within NW Florida, we predict to remain much drier using these. BTW, we have been by helping cover their them in regards to a dozen occasions now.
by all looks, they appear as if they'll endure well.Comment 4 of four people found this useful. Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... by C. Lutters on May 27, 2009 I lately attached my new splash pads on my small new carbon-fiber paddle and went kayaking on the windy day on the choppy lake. I had been impressed. The splash pads labored a lot better than the standard kind of splash guard, were easy to use, and did not move position around the paddle when i initially concerned about. Overall, A great product.Comment 6 of seven people found this useful. Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback...
