Excellent Product - Unglossed Appearance
By CDesperado on November 1, 2012 This is a great product and I have tried personally it on several projects apart from its intended automotive use. I am giving it 4 stars purely because I prefer SEM Satin Gloss Clear Coat (13013), also is an excellent product.
Ensure you stick to the directions. after numerous experiments, I've discovered the right operating climate is 60-70 levels F and 35-50% humidity. When you are above 70% humidity, the merchandise will start to blush. Don't even bother trying to use this (or any equivalent product) on the hot/damp day.
One Note: You will notice lots of people on vehicle forums touting using Low Luster Obvious coat within the Satin Gloss. this can be a personal preference factor and I highly recommend you need to do some experiments to determine what you want. I discovered the Low Luster Obvious Coat to "dull" the paint significantly, to the stage the pieces looked just like the 40-years old, sun-bleached and aged plastic which had initially appear the vehicle. On the other hand, the Satin Gloss Obvious Coat provides the panel exactly the same "shine" that the fresh use of Armor-Any Meguiars does.
also, observe that Low Luster can make the piece slightly lighter colored whereas Satin Glass can offer a rather much deeper color. The main difference is extremely noticeable when comparing the 2 pieces together, but By themselves, the main difference isn't that noticeable.Comment 5 of 5 people found this useful.
