Panasonic ES-LV95-S versus. Braun 799cc
By Tony F. on August 12, 2014
I purchased this shaver to exchange a mature Remington r7130. I'm Active Duty Military and need to shave daily, and so i wanted to obtain a shaver that will produce a quick, close shave. My old Remington wasn't working the very best despite replacing the blades and cleaning it regularly and so i desired to try new things.
I just read reviews the Panasonic ES-LV95-S and Braun 799cc were two best foil shavers and made the decision to check them. I've thick hair on your face with tough skin on my small face, but sensitive skin on my small neck and was wishing these two would cause less irritation on my small neck than my old Remington. I only tested both of these shavers dry, but here is how it selected me.
Seem and feel: The Panasonic was slightly louder compared to Braun, but it had been probably because of the fact it were built with a greater pitch because it runs at 14,000 cycles each minute versus. Braun's 10,000 oscillations each minute. I would not describe either to be too loud given that they did not bother my spouse or dog which were sleeping within the next room at 530 AM. The Panasonic felt such as the foil got warm if this was shaving, but wasn't hot or annoying. You can certainly tell it had become providing you with a detailed shave. The Braun had much more of a vibration into it that nearly felt just like a massage and you could not really tell it had been cutting the hairs, but it had been. Overall The Braun sounded and felt slightly much better than the Panasonic when utilizing it.
Shave Quality: I tested the 2 shavers daily for any week then with 2 days growth when on leave by shaving half my face using the Panasonic and half using the Braun. Neither my spouse, Mother, or mother-in-law could differentiate between your sides when searching at me. Read more › Comment 55 of 58 people found this useful. Was this review useful for you? I wish to begin by stating that all of these are five star electric razors and I do not think you are able to fail with either of these. for what it's worth I am a verified purchaser for each. My face can be used to both rotary and Foil Shavers, and I guarantee I've tested each one of these for thirty days or even more for their maximum potential.
look and Design:
The Braun is less flashy compared to other two but continues to have all of the wonderful features. The hygiene meter at the end can be a nice touch for anybody who does not possess the base, or does but really wants to cut lower on solution usage. It's very comfortable to hold and
move the face. The Norelco looks very sleek and includes a excellent LCD with the wonderful features you can request. Additionally, it feels very natural within the hands and the 3D gimmick, is not as gimmicky when i suspected. We'll go more into depth with this afterwards in shaving performance. From the three, the Panasonic may be the oddest feeling. This latest ES-LV95 is much more natural perspective of hands when compared to slightly older ES-LV81. Will still be just a little top heavy but comprises for this with and amazing new feature I'll mention afterwards below.
While the 3 feel totally solid and of top quality, the Braun really sticks out. Each one is made from plastic but the Braun's more matte finish personally feels stronger in my experience. Others in no way feel cheap though. Both have rubbery grips. The grips around the Braun and Panasonic feel more solid and rigid, as the Norelco's includes a great smooth feel into it. They all have good sturdy weight and if needed to predict them failing on me, I am almost positive that in every situation, it might be exclusively mechanical. By Walton on October 6, 2014 Began while using ES-LV95-S captured. pretty good overall. Much better than Braun 7 Series. Causes more irritation and cuts than Braun but otherwise better throughout. Shaves closer and catches more hair in one pass. The Braun 7 simply declined to shave some hairs across the neck line. The Panasonic improves about this but still needs many passes to attain desirable results. That's one disadvantage to electric razors.
I do not think this shaver may be worth $500. I believe the realistic cost ought to be $250 but that will not happen. The shaver is produced in Japan that is a plus. The Five blade mind is big but it is not unmanageable. The cleaning solution lasts a very lengthy time that is a plus. I've not altered mine in several weeks and still it does not degrade. I actually do rinse all of the hair off under tap first before using cleaning station and I suggest you perform the same. You can easily clean without station.
There is not much distinction between this and ES-LV81-K. The cleaning station is improved upon. A brand new stubble sensor which adjusts speed continues to be added. I seldom used this selection. I favor full power. I believe the sensor is actually only a gimmick. It might work with some but I do not see the purpose of it. The final difference may be the foil slits are slightly improved but I did not notice an impact in overall shave quality.
Each individual is keen on various kinds of shavers. I simply switched to Norelco's latest, the 9000 Series that was just launched this month. This shaver does not pull such as the foil shavers do. Using the foil shavers I have to make use of the pop-up trimmer to chop lower your hair first before while using primary foil. The Norelco does not need that. I had previously used a Sensotouch 3D which was replaced with the new 9000 Series (9300 and 9700). Read more › 2 Comments 22 of 24 people found this useful. Was this review useful for you?
