By Gregory Watts on Feb 13, 2014 Style Name: Stainless Steel Item Package Quantity: 1
This Gerber pocket knife is amazing. It's made from beautiful stainless and the screws are of top quality. Despite the fact that it's small, the knife feels safe to carry and Use. The locking system has not had any issues whatsoever.
Its dimensions are in just under 3.5" lengthy and 1" wide (at it's largest point).
Very good quality product. I'd certainly purchase it again. Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... I have been keen on Gerber for quite some time and have experienced certainly one of their multi-tools for quite some time and utilize it frequently. The down-side to something of that nature, could it be does not easily fit in a pocket well and, In my job, it does not do in order to put on it on my small belt. This is where this knife is available in. Small and Light, they fit well in your wallet. The tab around the blade causes it to be a simple open knife that locks into position. Great for almost anything you'd make use of a pocketknife for. From opening boxes to sharpening a pencil to stripping some bark off a downed branch for kindling. A great knife for everyday use.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. By Elitex83 on Feb 4, 2013 Style Name: Stainless Steel Item Package Quantity: 1
-Pros-
I'm extremely pleased with this particular knife. The blade does not bend or wobble whatsoever, it's built perfectly. The para-frame design is simple to wash as others have stated. The conclusion is okay, could easily get smudgy should you look close but a knife is supposed to will work right? It's perfect sized and lightweight enough to hold in your wallet easily.
-Cons-
Others have stated this knife is very sharp. Simply to be obvious, as they are this knife will cut things by trying to chop them... but razor-sharp this isn't. If you compare this knife out of box to a hand-sharpened razor-sharp knife (sharp enough to shave hair) this really is dull in comparison.
I attempted to hone this blade with my stone but because of the short blade, and the position from the thumb-stud... it's almost impossible to correctly hone without taking out the thumb stud. I acquired a good fringe of the final 2/3's from the blade, but negligence the blade nearest towards the handle will need to stay dull unless of course I'm able to learn how to obtain the thumb-stud off.
Simply wanted to state that a great knife, looks good, sturdy, and I would suggest this knife to anybody. However, it's not razor-sharp, or anywhere near to it.1 Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. By Dougman on Next Month, 2014 Style Name: Stainless Steel Item Package Quantity: 1 I had been with all this knife as a present. (free tip out of your uncle Doug: Incorperate your 'wants' for your wife's Wish List... Labored for me personally!)
I really like the dimensions and weight, and For that cost, Basically drop it, Abuse it, lose it or break it, I'll buy two more to replace it all. Its very inconspicuous when tucked into my back pocket. Sometimes inside a professional office so putting on a knife on a person's belt is frowned upon. When stowed within my pocket, just the clip is seen and the reduced-gloss finish goes nearly undetected.
Used to do make several modifications to create this knife 'really work' for me personally.
1. The thumb stud around the clip-side from the blade is simply too big - managed to get hard to rapidly clip the knife within my jean pocket. I ground that stud lower to really make it simpler to clip the knife. (Like a right hander, I do not require a stud on the other side from the blade)
2. Unsure how you can describe this part - once the knife is closed, the very bestOrback again from the blade extends beyond the rounded frame, and comes with an almost square shape. When stored right in front pocket of my jeans, this part would scrape my hands whenever I had been reaching within my pocket to seize my keys or whatnot. I dug out my trusty dremel and formed that area of the blade to complement the curved frame. Problem solved.
I'd never have a grinder to some $100 knife, but on the other hand I'd never purchase a $100 knife to hold every single day. I'd be too afraid for doing things and break it. This little Gerber, with slight adjustments is a superb buy. I might buy another just to possess a spare handy. Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Fits perfectly throughout my jeans without bulk. Whilst not the simplest to flick open one-handed, because the knife is completely new, In my opinion it is simpler over time. It's a solid build and keeps a nice edge with little maintenance. The skeleton frame is extremely simple to clean. Great product to have an everyday pocket knife and is really an acceptable cost you can't simply Not purchase it.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By Nylox on December 28, 2011 Style Name: Stainless Steel Item Package Quantity: 1
It's the perfect size to hold and weighs nearly nothing. The blade is only the perfect length to a single thing you'll need, unless of course obviously you're Crocodile Dundee, or searching strictly for any hunting knife. The edge is high carbon steel and holds an advantage for any lengthy time. With it's united nations-serrated edge it may be sharpened the whole length. I truly don't take care of serrated blades unless of course it's on the steak knife. It left the package sharp enough to shave arm hair. While closed, the knife is simply ideal for pocket carry without having to be bulky, Heavy, or making your pockets bulge. I carry a lot of things beside me whatsoever occasions and I do not need any other weight or bulk within my pockets. The only real drawback is it is really lightweight which you may not notice if you have forgotten to restore it in your wallet. When i state lightweight I do not mean flimsy. This factor is SOLID! Once damaged in, it is a snap to spread out and close one (right) handed and Locks into position safely. The conclusion is not shiny or "chrome", therefore it maintains it's appearance even when transported along with other junk in your wallet. After many years of transporting this knife, still it looks great and I have people ask me to determine it. I do not leave the house or perhaps put my pants on each morning without it knife. You can purchase a more costly knife. I'm not sure what more you can get from spending more income because this knife does exactly what it's designed to do. I have had some pretty costly knives within my time and this cheap one performs well. If you are searching for an inexpensive knife that will not upset you if lost or damaged, this is usually a wise decision.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback...
