By Frozen Treats Monster on September 4, 2015 Color: black
TLDR: arguably the best in class ($300 and portable enough to slot in a backpack). Smokes other brands like bose, beats, and The new sony.
The way i made the decision to purchase the product one of the competition:
Whenever I'm going to splurge cash on an costly bit of electronics, I usually devote enough time towards researching every option i'm able to get and so i know I get my money's full worth. One place my studies have taken me to is clavinetjunkie's funnel online, where i discovered concerning the jbl charge 2. The charge 2 sounded much better than the bose, and so i made the decision to listen to in the shop personally. Things i found was exactly the same difference in the videos, and therefore his videos capture the variations between products pretty precisely.
However, i needed something that plays louder without distorting/compression (which all small loudspeakers do, not restricted to the charge 2!), to ensure that was after i made the decision to return to clavinetjunkie and research more, and this really is what i decided i should get .
Sure bigger loudspeakers like the klipsch kmc3, big blue party, and the beolit 12 continue to be portable, but i needed something which can continue to easily fit in my backpack, and it was it.
Build Quality
Feels very solid overall, though unsure concerning the uncovered bass radiators. It appears pretty awesome though. Not sure
Will go way louder compared to charge 2. The treble is another much more crisp and does not suffer at high volumes unlike the charge 2. Bass can often be a little much inside but nothing an equalizer cant fix (bass enthusiasts rejoice!). It is simply right outdoors. The only real factor i'd like is possibly somewhat more midrange, but it's not just a major problem. Overall, its super good. By Changsta on September 15, 2015 Color: black JBL Xtreme outputs fantastic seem. Barely heard any distortion in the loudest volume. Nice balance between treble and bass. I'd the large Jambox formerly and this sounds far better in contrast. Even outputs a little more volume too. The hidden compartment using the inputs is a huge awkward to make use of, but it isn't bad since i have will not be coping with it an excessive amount of. And it also adds some splash proof protection towards the loudspeakers as whole.
It's slightly bigger and heavier than your typical $200-$300 bluetooth speaker that you would get in this range (BIG JAMBOX, Bose SoundLink III, UE Megaboom), but the seem downside you receive is excellent. Now, if you are a wild maniac much like me and likes to dance with your speaker in one hand (drunk nights at parties/conventions..), you'll most likely have to perform a couple of more curls each day. I do not feel at ease holding this really is one hands because of its size and weight. Whereas I possibly could easily hold my Big Jambox while pseudo dancing. Not to mention the dual radiators on the side of the device makes it essentially impossible to hold the device on the sides while music is playing (although very badass visually). But that is just me SUPER nitpicking... I am clearly a really special situation in very special conditions. Portability wise, it'll still easily fit in any backpack completely fine. As well as the incorporated shoulder strap is genius. Even without having a bag, this is relatively convenient to carry around.
Overall, if you are searching for any bluetooth speaker within this cost range with higher portability, this appears like a smart choice in my experience. Best sounding device I have heard up to now within this class. 2 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By Nils Valentin on September 13, 2015 Color: black Executive summary:
Good sound
Quirky operation
Heavy, but portable
Extraordinary price
This portable speaker is much heavier (2000 gr) than well populated 500-600gr class.
Nevertheless it also offers some serious punch up its sleeve even if utilized on electric batteries.
getting stated this, listening "Donna Summers - Hot Stuff" is a pleasure with this gadget !!
Whenever you "need" the very best seem that you could carry than this really is most likely it.
Should you consider that previously you'd have most likely transported 6+ kg or even more out and about than it has come a lengthy way.
But if you are considering transporting this for over 15 mins than you'll understand the strap.
This can be a nice companion for holidays, including individuals BBQ nights, by the pool etc.
Operational fact is with respect to the bluetooth device combined with and can seem to be cool.
With Iphone the response is instant when (in/de)creasing Volume.
When attempting with a few Android phones there is a delay.5 - 2s when pressing the button.
(Samsung Universe S3, S4, S5)
Should you go through the delay than overall the operation might feel cool but please be aware that it may be the cell phones software side.
JBL's connecting sounds need getting accustomed to.
Cost is hefty, can be if it's worthwhile.
And if battery lasts the lengthy term only time can have.
Update 24th Sept 2015:
By now we have used it heavily during karaoke like activities playing seriously loud for 6+ hours (20km hiking, BBQ, Sporting activities like bubble soccer etc.) and it lengthy outlasts anything in all of those other week.
