By M. Campbell on May 20, 2012 Package Type: Standard Packaging Color: Red Us dot I'll be honest, I have got a fetish for loudspeakers. ESPECIALLY mobile loudspeakers. I am inclined to get pretty much every significant new set which comes along. So it is no surprise I immediately needed to try Each of the large kids around the bluetooth block: the SoundLink from Bose and the large Jambox from Jawbone. I'd recently been impressed using the seem and form factor of the Bose (that has been out sometime now) My Big Jambox showed up last Wednesday and I possibly could finally place them alongside for any "jam-off".
The solution: Both seem better and more powerful than you could believe from their relatively small size
Each one has it's own strengths.
BIG JAMBOX edges the Bose around the following points:
* Speakerphone. Possibly the only greatest benefit of the large Jambox may be the excellent speakerphone they built-in. It is a fact full duplex and a pleasure to speak on. I even tested it with FaceTime on iPad and iPhone- both work great. (The Bose doesn't have speakerphone, Whenever a call is available in, it really pauses your own music.)
* Clearer mid and high tones
* The LiveAudio featurewhich I love but none of my buddies do. This can be a simulated 3D surround seem mode It may simply be properly enjoyed while listening in a tiny space directly while watching speaker, so it's of limited use, but for several bits of music the result is breathtaking and almost freaky whenever you close your vision you can swear certain instruments are behind you.
* Easy firmware updates and custom settings just like the original Jambox
* Longer battery existence.
* Trendy/cool looking
BOSE SOUNDLINK edges out the Big Jambox on the following :
* Particularly much deeper, more potent, more calm lows.
* Respectable/professional looking
* I adore the much deeper, more potent lows? Read more › 82 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By passionislife on September 29, 2012 Package Type: Standard Packaging Color: Graphite Hex Used to do my research for nearly per month. I just read all reviews that are offered online with this product. I just read all of the comparison reviews between Jawbone Big Jambox and Bose SoundLink. Last week I finally decided to go to an electronic store (FRY'S) and compare myself the 2 Bluetooth loudspeakers alongside. I performed all types and genres of music on on loudspeakers alternately to have an hour within the store. For me the Bose SoundLink has more warm and much deeper bass compared to Jawbone Big Jambox. However, the large Jambox includes a very defined and very obvious mids and levels. The bass of massive Jambox is effective and tight. Always present whatsoever amounts of volume. It features a better overall seem compared to Bose SoundLink in my taste. Bose SoundLink sounds muffled due to the overpowering from the warm deep bass. In case your music is rap and rap then SoundLink is perfect for you. In case your music is acoustic, jazz, orchestra, choral, classical, pop, rock then Big Jambox is perfect for you because for me the large Jambox does not affect the seem. You'll hear the background music how artists intended the background music for that listeners to listen to it. The Large Jambox also produces louder overall seem the Bose SoundLink. also, the large Jambox has longer battery existence with a mile. That's a deal breaker for me personally. In addition you may also make use of the Big Jambox like a speaker phone! The phone call is obvious on ends. How's that for any bonus? ) I am hearing a John McKnight music when i type this. With this size my thoughts is blown through the performance.1 Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By K. WELDON on May 16, 2012 Package Type: Standard Packaging Color: Graphite Hex
After many...and that i mean many evaluations of bluetooth loudspeakers, it's ultimately come lower towards the Bose S*******k and the Jawbone number of loudspeakers, both Jambox and BIG JAMBOX. My two decades of audio engineering and music composition have solved the problem have the ability to find out the right mixture of true-to-recording seem, Clearness, ETC. for Music. Everybody wants our music to seem...well, Amazing, right? For that $, the large Jambox provides a HUGE seem...great low finish representation, MIDS and Highs are obvious and crisp. Maybe a tad too crisp in my ears on cymbals / vocals / synth overall, but that's an EQ factor. Bose S*******k has better low-finish overall, mids are truer, but lacks our prime-finish definition as compared to the Big. Stereo separation is truer around the Big and the buttons / features / software update-ability is really a plus too for that Big.
Jawbone has been doing a good factor by continuing to keep their loudspeakers software based, and user update-able. meaning...EQ configurations, voices, Features, BT updates etc. are only a USB cord away. Love which include on my small Jambox, and appreciate Jawbone giving me (the consumer) the opportunity to personalize my device. Wish the large included some type of situation / cover...but that is another $50 accessory to add later. And Wireless audio could have been nice on the website too...Well i guess.
Overall...my election is by using the large. Approach to take Jawbone...9 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By Hubert on May 25, 2012 Package Type: Standard Packaging Color: White-colored Wave Note: It is really an adaptation of my overview of the Bose SoundLink Wireless Mobile Speaker - Nylon, also is a great option, as noted below.
I lately purchased several bluetooth loudspeakers to check within my bed room and office hoping that I'd like one enough to help keep. Before I recieve in to the details, I'll cut towards the chase and inform you that I made the decision to help keep the large Jambox within the Bose SoundLink. As the Bose creates a really impressive quantity of seem from this type of small, portable package, the seem quality isn't as good because the Big Jambox at low to normalcy volume levels.
These products I tested were the Bose SoundLink Wireless, Jawbone Jambox, Jawbone BIG JAMBOX, and Logitech Wireless Boombox. Without stepping into an excessive amount of detail about other products, I discovered the two best loudspeakers for filling a medium to large room with music were the Bose SoundLink and BIG JAMBOX, which is not an unexpected because of the that fundamental essentials two most costly loudspeakers from the bunch, both costing $299. Ultimately, though, It seemed like the large Jambox sounded and looked better (in my taste), and so i came back the Bose and Logitech Wireless Boombox (I additionally stored the small Jambox in my office, which does not seem pretty much as good because the bigger loudspeakers, but makes for a great ultra-portable speaker for half the price ($150)).
My greatest trouble with the seem from the Bose Soundlink is the fact that there's way too much bass at low to normalcy volume levels. This can be a problem for me personally since the bass clouds all of those other music -- vocals become hard to hear and the treble is almost non-existent.
