5 of 5 people found the following review helpful One of the better AUX inputs I have seen
By CP111 on The month of january 28, 2011 Package Type: Standard Packaging
This cable showed up inside my doorstep today, and I must say that i'm awfully impressed. I curently have set up in my pickup and it looks like it in OEM (except for the coverage clearly studying "Clarion" around the front). I really purchased this since i saw that somebody had already submitted images of an install within the same vehicle I've, and it looked great. As lengthy as you've a set space and the area for any 3/4" hole, it ought to increase easily and Look sharp. I installed the product inside a 2006 F-150 and am utilizing it as a substitute AUX input using the USA Spec PA15-FORD1 ipod device/iPhone interface. Unsure after i will really utilize it, since i have come with an actual ipod device cable which comes from my glovebox, but I believed I ought to run the AUX just in situation, you realize?
the professionals: looks good, nice sturdy cable (maybe some overkill, Really), higher quality than the majority of the other similar products available.
The Disadvantages: The retaining nut around the 3.5 mm finish is a touch hard to slip within the RCA plugs alternatively finish from the cord. When the cable split to the R & L RCAs a few inches farther in the cord, they'd considerably simpler to jimmy with the retainer nut. The plastic retainer nut also is cheap, so it can mix-thread itself when you begin setting it up snug against the rear of the panel you mount it on. Comment Was this review useful for you? I purchased this to go together with the PAC aux input adapter in my Ford F150 factory radio. This provides the aux input jack a pleasant clean factory installed look. The cable is very large and Seems to be really top quality, almost just a little overkill with this use. Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By Talia L Brown on June 11, 2013 Package Type: Standard Packaging
The finish is really a flimsy rubber and it just fit 1 / 2 of my cables. Regrettably it had been very hard to insert and take away the eighth inch cable in the socket. my 2006 Mazda MX-5 Grand Touring was without aux jack, and only bet additional numbers CD disks, not really MP3 CD, constantly chaning disk was annoying and so i made the decision to include aux jack, there's an adapter that connects towards the CD changer connector, but I want a port to mount on dash.
after a little searching, I made the decision to choose that one because it looks well-crafted, Were built with a cover and most significantly, a retainer nut, where most others I've found weren't made to be flush mount.
I installed it near the factory cigarette lighter and it appears facory, as being a convertible, I loved the soft cover, where it may keep dust out keep, since i have park with top lower within the summer time.
Cable is thick, I needed to stop the RCA terminals to connect with the aux adapter with crimp terminals, gold plated connector is extremely strong, and retainer nut remained in position with no need of glues.
The eliminate hole is 3/4", initially I figured the cost is actually high just for a headphone connector, but the integrated factory look and the part clearly was engineered for automotive application managed to get worth every cent. By Alexander Trask on October 17, 2014 Package Type: Standard Packaging
I purchased the product since it received reviews that are positive typically, but after i finally installed it I came across an issue. The auxiliary cord which i already owned wouldn't squeeze into this cable. Then i looked the reviews with this item and discovered that a couple of others had exactly the same problem as me, stating the feminine finish was not big enough for that auxiliary cord to suit. Then i made the decision that it might be better to locate a substitute auxiliary cord instead of studying the trouble of removing, and coming back this cord. I visited Best To Buy and made the purchase of each and every auxiliary cord they offered with the hope that certain would fit, and I'd return the remainder. I attempted cords by Griffin, Insignia, JVC, RocketFish, and another brand which i cannot remember at the moment. Anyway, the Rocketfish was the only real cord that will squeeze into this cable from the 5 which i attempted. I would not always warn against purchasing the product, but just be ready for the potential of requiring a brand new auxiliary cord.Comment Was this review useful for you? I purchased this after first ordering the "iSimple IS335 Dash Mountable Auxiliary Input Adapter" Offered by Limited Goods. After Limited Goods declined either to ship or cancel my order, I attracted and purchased the kodak playtouch camcorder rather. I'm glad Used to do!
I received my order rapidly, and found it very good quality. Water proof cover, Mounting sleeve and Nut, Insulation, and connectors are all very sturdy (even overkill). Inside a dashboard with very tight quarters, it may be challenging to operate this type of thick cable, but in my 2005 Toyota Prius, there is a obvious road to my mounting location. It can make things simpler the cable is extremely flexible.
When compared to "iSimple IS335 Dash Mountable Auxiliary Input Adapter," where most reviewers acknowledge a budget construction, the product is really a tank. Since taking apart my dashboard is really a discomfort, I simply want to get it done once. With this particular animal, I am sure it'll endure. Thanks, Clarion!Comment Was this review useful for you? By JH on September 29, 2012 Package Type: Standard Packaging I got myself this item in line with the reviews that are positive. It cost two times the quantity of comparable products and doesn't include the required attaching male cable.
After carefully drilling and installing the jack Irrrve never imagined I'd come with an problem with the jack itself. My male connecting cable couldn't be fully placed within the female jack.
Another finely manufactured bit of Chinese crap. A classic shame, and only at that cost it wasn't manufactured in america.
So prior to going towards the trouble of putting in this part make sure that your cable will really fit the jack.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback...
