The reviews were high after i bought the product but it really is of poor quality, I installed the system and the antenna wishing to obtain the major stations but all I acquired was static. I tweaked the antenna a couple of occasions but still lots of static and so i made the decision to test altering the F type Balun so visited the neighborhood RadioShack and i had been fortunate, they'd certainly one of their's available. The caliber of the RadioShack one was day and evening, once i altered the system the reception was perfect.
Main point here, don't waste your hard earned money about this unit, RadioShack had their own for the similar cost but much better quality.1 Comment Was this review useful for you? Works fine on my small the new sony receiver. I desired this to connect an FM antenna and it works. By Kermit on March 10, 2012 Although I'm not in a position to make use of the procuct, I rated it 5 stars since there are no procduct defects. The issue rests using the interface between your balun and My Radio. I had purcehased this item with the intention of using it to help me connect a dipole antenna to My Radio. However the fitting around the radio is situated at the end of the deep funnel within the situation. The style of the funnel doesn't let me fully seat the balun to the fitting. Things I require is an F type push-on design having a longer push-on arm to let me fully seat the part. Does anybody know where I'm able to aquire this type of part?1 Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... I desired this to obtain the signal in the old flat ribbon style wire coming make up the antenna on the top that were unused for quite some time. I simply cut the ribbon medicare part a little in the centre and added each end of the wire to each connection point ... Task Finished.
This feels quite cheap, but after you get it connected you shouldn't have to touch it much more ... well worth the cost in my experience.Comment Was this review useful for you? By Kenneth N. DeFilippo on This summer 27, 2015
I purchased this 'F' Type push-on Balun 75/300 ohm connector to make use of using the Stellar Labs Omnidirectional FM antenna. After opening the package, I noted that one end (not proven within the photo) includes a 5/16" diameter opening. I saw no use with this opening as all connections are created around the outdoors of the plastic molded component. My concern could be that the internals could be vulnerable to water infiltration if used outdoors leading to harm to the contacts within. I possibly could have covered or plugged up this opening yet didn't need to make your time and effort as well as the concern which i was in some way modifying the way this connector functioned. I ultimately acquired one from Radio Shack that was nearly identical yet offered an optional 75 ohm publish, as needed, but with no non-functioning openings.Comment Was this review useful for you?
