27 of 30 people found the following review helpful New product from ZVOX!
By Kevin M. Goldstein on October 25, 2014 Attempted to identify an answer in my home stereo as a result of failing speaker whilst thinking about upgrading to my 12 years old receiver using the considered to give a bluetooth solution and so i might enjoy my iTunes library from the MacBook Air or iPhone.
Discussed me having a buddy who's an audiophile and who owns a set of ZVOX SoundBase 580s. When I reviewed the specs and features of the several ZVOX models around the ZVOX website, my friend and I found conclude the new Platinum series models and, particularly the 670, may not only function as a substitute in my stereo loudspeakers but also like a big replace on my The new sony Bravia TV loudspeakers and provide me having a home entertainment experience. After further discussing me and benefiting from great perspective/guidance from ZVOX customer care, I ordered (Free Delivery) and received my 670 in a couple of days.
Unpacked, placed it under and connected the 670 to my 52" TV in under fifteen minutes using the optical digital cable that included the system. fifteen minutes later I'd removed my loudspeakers and Receiver and directly connected both my CD player and my turntable towards the ZVOX through the analog inputs. also, readily connected and began using my Verizon Fios TV remote using the ZVOX. The upgrade from the TV audio knowledge about and with no surround seem function is extremely significant and the audio output readily fills our family room, sized 18' x 24'. The AccuVoice and Surround Seem choices are terrific and I personally use various settings based on what I'm watching....News, Sports, movies, ETC.
That which was a very enjoyable surprise is when well the ZVOX audio experience works as a substitute in my stereo loudspeakers whether I am hearing my CD player or turntable. By blu_ize on October 27, 2014 If you are searching for any music solution and a film solution, the 670 may be worth thinking about. The built-in Bluetooth is a touch flaky connecting to my i-Phone 5S but following a couple of tries, it's solid. The Accuvoice feature for movie watching is amazing. Gone would be the garbled voices behind the film soundtrack. The bottom being released is just staggering. Everybody who listens to the seem using this relatively small box is astonished. I am filling a 20X20X20 feet room having a complete selection of music notes. If you possess the budget and capability to run wires everywhere, I am sure a real 5:1-7:1 surround seem system are the best, but I'm not going wires and I haven't got $2500 to invest on individuals solutions. Check out (2) Digital audio inputs, separate composite inputs, choice for separate sub, although I can not imagine anybody requiring it unless of course they would like to break the home windows. The engineers at ZVOX did a fantastic job delivering super seem on a tight budget. So far as I am concerned this is actually the Sonos soundbar/sub killer for just one room. I can add multiple devices without routing through my TV (Sonos limitation). This really is my second SoundBase & I'll happily buy another once the next flatscreen is purchased.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By Kerry Pierce on Feb 17, 2015
The Zvox SoundBase 670 would be a breeze to obtain up and running, a minimum of using the fundamental features. It arrives with the majority of the cables which you may need. I made use of the optical cable in the TV towards the Zvox and it labored all right. but, once the 670 showed up, it included a defunct handheld remote control, so that all I possibly could do to setup the machine was make use of the limited control set that's around the front from the Zvox box. That labored okay for initial setup and the seem was considerably much better than what I used to be getting away from the television loudspeakers. However I could not test the two stuff that caused me to buy the 670, The AccuVoice and Output Leveling features.
so, I contacted Zvox support via email. Individuals folks were great, responding very rapidly, frequently in a few minutes. They sent us a new remote immediately. Meanwhile, I searched for any remote that will work our devices and I found out that the folks at Zvox use the Logitech Harmony 650 Remote Control - Silver (915-000159), and so i purchased one and got following day shipping. The Logitech remote showed up prior to the Zvox remote and I programmed it to function the television, Blu-ray player, cable DVR, and TV, and so i did not need to fuss with 3 remotes. Once correctly programmed, it really works just like a champion around the Zvox, allowing me to gain access to and control the Accuvoice and Output Leveling options that come with the speaker, in addition to the many other features.
I'm happy using the Zvox 670, now that it's working correctly wonderful my devices. I like the Accuvoice and Output Leveling features, since i am hearing impaired and a lot of movies and Television shows have soft dialog that's frequently overpowered by background noise or music. By shapinup VINE VOICE on November 8, 2014
Purchased this like a "cheap" Sonos system for downstairs. I've got a complete Sonos system upstairs and It's a simple and effective means to fix seem bar and Home Stereo system. Yes, the main one limitation may be the single optical in but the wireless music features compensate for requiring to include an optical switch.
The ZVOX 670 sounds great! But the same is true the ZVOX 580 which far less costly. The newer 670 has Bluetooth and streams music for I phones and I pads...if you do not mind setting your device on the top from the soundbase and departing it there. different locations, router off or on, a variety of devices the Bluetooth around the 670 is pathetic. The main one I received maybe defective and I'm coming back it as being such. Another reviewer pointed out connecting is nice WITHIN 5 ft, that leads me to think the number maybe limited because of design or low quality control.
The ZVOX 670 comes with terrific base that may be overpowering otherwise dialed lower.
update: ZVOX service has figured that the Bluetooth isn't functioning correctly. I'm exchanging the defective unit and will update once the substitute arrives.
update: Received the substitute and the Bluetooth works fairly well. Activly works to 30 ft approximately what's best than marketed. However we have music playing distortion is extremely noticeable at moderate volume unlike the Sonos that does not distort. Searching in the The new sony HTST solutions even though they tend to be more costly.
update: Staying with the ZVOX 670 because it is effective and has been employed for a second television. As the Bluetooth has momentary lapses the distortion was introduced in check by turning the Sub setting lower to -4.
final: Came back the ZVOX 670 and added a Sonos Connect with the ZVOX 580.8 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. Sorry, we unsuccessful to record your election. Please try again See all 38
