341 of 344 people found the following review helpful Great outdoor fun By Within My Existence on April 20, 2008 We purchased after a prior small (3' by 3') sand pit was damaged inside a move. Residing in a condo, we simply have small patio space to place our outside toys on, and because my son is older now (4) we chosen the table instead of sand pit. To date, after getting it outdoors for just one month with several wet days, we have experienced no dripping like other reviewers pointed out. It is good for building sand castles, digging tunnels, ETC. My only complaint is that it's a bit shallow (about 4" deep), but this does not really steer clear of the fun. The upside is the fact that is holds one 50 lb. bag of sand, about $4-6 worth. Only a side note: make certain when you're purchasing sand that it's play-grade, and silica-free. Home Depot's store make of play sand comes with silica, you will be aware it has silica should there be cancer warnings around the Bag. Lowe's offers Silica-free play sand at $5/50 lb. Bag. the bucket and scoops which are incorporated are enjoyable too.6 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Table--Great Value By Essay Physician on This summer 19, 2005 We bought this sand table for the three-year-old to not fill With sand but with peas therefore we can use it inside. We had arrived filling cookie sheets with beans so his diggers and dump trucks might have an excavation site, but i was constantly obtaining peas in the floor. Sony playstation be our solution. well, we are still picking beans up in the floor, but the table is a huge hit. It had been the favourite activity at our son's three-year-old birthday celebration whenever we were limited inside because of hot and damp weather. I am sure it'll work nicely if you are using it as being intended--outdoors and With sand. It is extremely well-built, as we have found all of the products within the Naturally Playful Step Two line to become. The very best fits very snugly. I'll include that I balked at having to pay $20-something in shipping charges, therefore we bought this table from the Step Two site. It showed up in 72 hours, via Given Ex, and the shipping charges were less than $10 (I do not recall the exact amount). (I wasn't capable of finding it in almost any stores, only online.)6 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... I wanted to get a sturdy water table (particularly the legs) and not really a sand and water combo table (muddy water). In Addition, I desired to just go he is able to stand and not need to sit in. I understand this can be a sand table but it really works great like a water table too. Holds about 6 gallons water and The legs are extremely sturdy. Supports the water weight great and was sooo easy to setup. You just need to snap within the legs and fill with anything you want. I must try other activities during wintertime like corn, beans, grain or pasta. Great physical play. The teenagers enjoy it too. They simply grab a seat right alongside it rather of standing over. I recommend! In Addition, I purchased the Kaplan Sand wheel factory, Freddy the freestyle swimmer windup toy and the aquaplay water pump from . They are a good addition the the table.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. Fortunately this defect is definitely remedied by filling holes with Silicone Caulking designed for exterior use.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By LeeAnn on April 15, 2011 I purchased this sand pit in my 20 month old, while he never appears to remain still and play, and he loves it! It had been quite simple to construct, just pop the legs in, add sand, and Voila! It is good since it does not get sand all in footwear, socks, Pants, Clothes, ETC. It features a nice lid that matches very tightly, and the top lid may also be used to experience on. My 20 month old is tall for his age, but this is among the most right height for him to face at easily. t included a bucket, a couple of shovels and Digging Tools, and I purchased a sand set to increase this mixture. I'd Recommend this sand table! Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. I checked out several models and chose this table according to its size and Cost. Setup required about a few minutes, such as the time that it required to spread out the sand and pour it in. The table is extremely sturdy and deep enough to allow the shovels and pails really dig inside. The lid takes place by elastic ties on 2 sides on the table. It's not waterproof but I've discovered that whatever little water does end up in the table only aids the children in packing the sand within their toys. also, the table version here is way better compared to sand boxes that lie on the ground if you are planning for doing things on the deck. When you attend sweep from the sand which has spilled it will get underneath the ladybug/turtle sand boxes and is unattainable out. Also it traps moisture between the foot of the ground and when that could, over time, warp the wood. We are putting our old sand table (the turtle floor-bound version) within the garage sale the coming year. This may be used for various applications: sand table, water table, grain/bean table, and we're returning to purchase another for the children to make use of inside like a playdoh table so I haven't got to peel playdoh from the carpets any longer. My 4 and 6 year olds like it and would have fun with everything day. No flaws will be able to consider after 4 several weeks useful. We're happy!1 Comment Was this review useful for you? She spends half an hour or even more having fun with the sand. The issue is, the sand will get wet if this rains. We're diligent about securing the lid but the sand still will get wet. Poor design around the corners - no lip round the edges around the corners enables water to go into.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback...
