1,180 of just one,182 people found the following review helpful Happening our sixth year with this particular toy... By AVA on March 15, 2010 Below I am likely to cut and paste my first overview of this toy, one I published almost three years ago. My five stars still hold true although I have had some leg weakness since then (but we have owned the toy 6 years and I have got three bigger kids--7, 5, 3--leaning onto it in each and every direction plus an 80 lb. labrador retriever that has come to waiting in it to appear within the fence, Ahem...Anyway). I'm going to rescrew new holes in every leg and The table and fill the legs with stand to really make it stable again but it's totally worthwhile because of the pleasure it's introduced the kids. Water cover continues to be 100% effective and the toy still looks practically completely new. I've made the purchase more new umbrella since my last review. so, that's two new umbrellas and some leg maintenance in 6 years. pretty good. I am going to ensure that it stays since it is an excellent place for all of us to complete plenty of untidy science experiments and activities, As the following, which are best stored outdoors. Old Review from May 2007: To begin with, we've had this toy for several years and it still looks like the first day it came out of the box (within the BLAZING Texas sun). also, it's been moved around a lot of occasions to count and continues to be as strong as always. it's durable. Plus, it truly does keep water out and the coverage stays put tightly even with the most violent and windy thunderstorms. The umbrella rocks !, although Used to do have to replace it all once because of weathering. I soooooooo don't care. Continue reading... I am on my small third child now and if there's one factor I am tired of, it is the toy this is a one-trick pony. I am really searching for additional versatility inside a toy. Nevertheless, without a doubt why we'll bare this toy before the kids outgrow it also though we have an 8x10 foot. sandbox within the backyard. Read more › 47 Comments Was this review useful for you? Wu Best Players REVIEWER VINE VOICE on May 31, 2009 One question you have to ask is would you like one for reds sand and one for reds water, or would you like two sides with dirt? You need to decide otherwise your children will decide upon you. All joking aside, there exists a 1, 3, and 5 years old and the 3 love this particular. I'd state that ~8 years may be the maximum after which kids might start getting bored... update: I'd still stick to ~8 years because the maximum, ours are actually 3, 5, and 8 and it's clearly the more youthful two that love this particular probably the most. We are this is not on about our fifth year with this particular.... I'd recommend not filling the sand side up completely because the kids appreciate it as much with simply one inch or fewer of sand. You also finish up buying sand less frequently by doing this - it appears universal that they don't want to help keep the sand up for grabs. Observe that there's a water drain ONLY around the "wet" side so you might want to bail the "sand" side out once they start moving water around. It included a couple of motorboats, bridges, ETC. Naturally, Hot wheels and other toys will finish up here. Attempt to add a couple of empty yogurt cups, Plastic Items, etc towards the mix. Simply mind boggling how enjoyable and unstructured play they are able to have using these. The umbrella is a fairly touch as our deck is extremely sunny. If you do not require it with this toy you may still utilize it elsewhere as it is essentially a seaside umbrella having a shorter stick. The initial umbrella is within an identical color, though should you prefer a substitute it appears Dollar stores sell one that's identical aside from color. update: We bought another umbrella at Harbor Freight - same style except it tilts for much better sun-protection. My that would be that the top has a tendency to collect water. Read more › 6 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... The look is indeed a bit silly as there's pointless to possess holes for that legs while you screw them in through the side. We assemble it and it leaked, I required it apart purchased some sealant inside my local home improvement store and put back together. Forget About LEAKS and my little girl (16 several weeks) loves this table. We simply put water both in sides as that's entertainment enough on her. we reside in Texas and I am scared of snakes and bugs getting into, so once she's ready for sand the truth that it isn't on the floor and includes a cover can help. I can tell how it might be just a little heavy with sand if you want to constantly move it but Overall it is a great product. When we did not need to use sealant to have it to prevent dripping I'd have provided it 4 stars.4 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By Carissa L. Norris on April 2, 2011 I purchased this water and sand table from since it was cheaper online than at any one of my local retailers. It showed up rapidly and in top condition. My hubby place the table plus a drill and it had been simple as cake to put together. My 16 month old daughter just LOVES this table. I put only water inside it, On sides. I understood I needed to achieve that after i bought it because I didn't want dirt and was searching for any water table. She plays on sides equally. It arrives with two motorboats and two gardening containers, but I added beach toys, an analog fish, a watering pot and I will add calculating cups. I really like the umbrella! This is a great feature of the product. One reviewer complained it did not repel the sun's rays, but I discovered it did a fantastic job. Obviously, this will depend around the time. I could lower the umbrella so low that my young girl was completely covered the very first time she performed by using it. The 2nd time the sun's rays what food was in another position, but I'd put sun block on her behalf and the only real a part of her which was under the sun was her legs. No sunburn whatsoever. This toy can certainly be utilized for educational play. There are plenty of water toys available you should use using the table to educate measurement and fundamental physics ideas. as several reviewers have noted, the table can leak in the legs. Recommendations a few leaks, but they're so slow, there's pointless to bother with them. The leaks are minimal and haven't interfered using the play on the table because there's enough water for the whole duration of play. update: my daughter has become 2 and still enjoying this table. It's held together--this factor is durable! Just the cover has faded a little, but that's no problem because the play is within the table. I still am so glad we purchased this table.
