Product Description

The Greater Cables Silver Serpent XLR cable is good sounding balanced audio interconnect up to now. It's an outstanding Silver-Copper hybrid analog XLR interconnect that's sonically revealing with no harshness connected with many pure silver interconnects. The Greater Cables Silver Serpent ensures smooth-smooth audio reproduction using our advanced, Dual conductor, twisted pair configuration conductors with very low capacitance measurements. The Greater Cables Silver Serpent features 99.999% pure silver coated conductors. The hybrid construction gives all of the sonic benefits of silver (dynamic high frequencies) and all of the sonic benefits of copper (Deep, tight bass response). The Greater Cables Silver Serpent is a superb option for connecting XLR balanced sources, for example pre-amps, Amps, and any device using the XLR connectors. Balanced lines are the preferred method (for hum free) interconnecting of seem systems utilizing a shielded twisted-pair. The main behind balanced lines would be that the signal is transmitted more than one wire and received back on another wire. The shield doesn't carry any information, as a result it is free of charge to be the true shield. This circuit's shining virtue is its great common-mode noise rejection ability. The concept here relies on induced noise showing up equally (or common) on every wire. It is mainly due to EMI (electromagnetic interference: passing through or near magnetic fields), RFI (Rf Interference: strong broadcast signals), noisy ground references, or a mix of the 3. Our Silver Serpent XLR cables exhibit exactly equal impedance from each line in accordance with ground, guaranteeing equal noise susceptibility. Because the balanced input stage amplifies just the distinction between the lines, it rejects everything else (Noise) that's present with the lines. The mixture of silver, low-attenuation, and top-notch quality insulation makes mtss is a world-class audio cable without any equal at ANY Cost.

Excellent cables and even better at this price
By D. Follette on December 25, 2012
I have owned (but still own) many high finish cables by various manufacturers- Cardas, Nordost, Discovery, Audioquest and Others. I desired single meter balanced cable to have an Oppo BDP-95 I'd lately purchased. I had been utilizing a 2 meter Discovery Plus 4 cable, which most likely was near to $500 new, but did not want the surplus cable finished up and velcroed to some support on my small audio rack. I saw these on , a source I had never used to buy any high-end audio (I've previously been some audio snob, a fault I'm looking to get over when you are more available to new possiblilites and cost/performance points) but after researching just a little I figured the cables looked very promising and comparitively they're affordable when compared with what I've become accustomed to having to pay.
I have used them now for a few several weeks and for individuals that know what rave looks at the Oppo will get, Personally i think I get the entire advantage of that performance within my system with such cables. I'll most likely buy more later on and would recommend these to anybody searching for any well built great sounding cable- and reduce your cost versus. the "designer" brands I pointed out above.1 Comment 16 of 18 people found this useful. I initially purchased 1 pair which upon arrival, after listening using the current configuration was installed for connecting the The new sony CD player towards the preamplifier. The pre is definitely an AR LS 26, amp is Krell 300cx loudspeakers Martin Logan Request with Velodyne 18 DD subwoofer. The cable used are Kimber PBJ ended with balanced Neutrik gold connectors. When introduced The Serpent II XLR, I watch a difference when compared to Kimber PBJ. Even though the seem was generally better, it is incorporated in the high frequencies the Serpent made an impact. The very best finish was considerably cleaner and smooth, micro information on instruments were now present while couldn't hear before. Seem stage and instrument localization was improved. Please be aware that I approve only of what I'm able to hear. Basically cannot hear a positive change it doesn't matter in my experience just how and costly it's. If you wish to have a little more refined seem particularly at the very top finish this cable can help performing having a small cost to pay for. Take note that every product is different, improvement noticed with my system may not be just as noticeable for others . I've now purchased 2 more pairs to exchange all of the Kimber PBJ between your pre and The amplifier, and between your phono stage and the Pre.Comment 9 of 9 people found this useful. I am into headphone audio, so I have heard lots of HP setups.
I am presently utilizing an OPPO BDP-105 now balanced to some Headamp GSX-mk2 balanced to a well-balanced cabled Sennheiser HD800 headphone.
RCA leads would be the norm but balanced XLR cables double the amount output from the DAC to AMP and Amp to HP.
The balanced XLR cables from Better Cables are 1/2 to some 1/3rd the price of "high finish cables" but I am so astounded by the caliber of these cables.
Well shielded, solid build, when they are more expensive compared to average RCA cable there's grounds why.
Quality still costs to create, but no huge up charge using the Silver Serpent.
Best "bang for the buck" cable I have heard, Thanks!Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. Sorry, we unsuccessful to record your election. Please try again Great sound
