By Scott Pointon VINE VOICE on June 12, 2006 A week ago I purchased this push stay with help with ripping some molding I had been cutting around the tablesaw and I'm here to state that it's worth every cent. The frustration I've felt with lots of the manufactured pushsticks appear to possess all been addressed here. This product is extremely thin, enabling you to apply it to operations in which the space between your blade and fence is less that 1". The rubberized bottom from the push stick combined with small lip behind combine to grip the wood very firmly and provide you with a large amount of control of the piece. The hands grip is well up and taken care of from the blade, providing you with an additional way of measuring safety and comfort. I additionally enjoy the "docking station", but wish it were built with a magnetic base. I might then add rare earth magnets to provide mine that capacity...
Overall I recommend this tablesaw accessory like a quality built, must-have item for any very fair cost.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By Cary Swoveland on This summer 3, 2006 I like the style of this push stick. The offset handle is really a safety feature, but additionally, it enables me to tear narrow boards with my overhead dust collector in position. I generally contain the push stick within my left hands, but for very narrow rips, I hold it using the tips of my right thumb and FINGERS, pulling the stock from the fence when i push it although the blade. A fence on my small saw is 4" high. Should i be cutting 1/4" thick stock, the offset area of the push stick just clears the top of the my fence. That's, having a 4" high fence, it's possible to make use of the push stay with cut material as thin as 1/4". For greater fences, the minimum stock thickness is accordingly greater, restricting the effectiveness of the accessory.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By Snowatcher on This summer 1, 2008
it can be just me, but I discovered no use for that base. I can tell why someone would design a collection such as this, it may sound good theoretically, but the simple fact is the fact that after i am cutting wood, I just have the stick, and after i am done, I do not need this shaky storage for either pencil or tape. Stick is actually good, though I am certain you will find others available on the market, or even the one you've made yourself that serves exactly the same purpose. again, don't misunderstand me, this can be a well-crafted product, I simply doubt you'll use "docking station" that much, so think if the push stick may be worth your hard earned money. This is exactly why I gave it 4 stars only.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. make and used several other kinds of safety push sticks- that one is excellent- keeps the fingers not even close to the saw blade, in addition to supplying good positive charge of the work surface. Indicate this kind and brand be incorporated with any new saw purchases.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... by J. Barthel on The month of january 6, 2008
I purchased the Bench Dog push stick to be used on my small saw following a good friend had lost a part of two fingers within an accident on his saw. I've since tried on the extender to chop wide and narrow parts with great ease. I like the unit. The non-slip material at the base causes it to be super easy to manage both feed and Position. The handle is within an excellent position allowing positive control without getting when it comes to my saws blade gaurd. I wasn't sure about buying a bit of plastic for this kind of important use but I had been amazed at just how sturdy it's. I understand I'll get years of use and protection.
I have also thought it was very helpful on my small router table, a different one of individuals devices that may mame you should you get off track.Comment Was this review useful for you? by S. Schisler on June 7, 2010
I love the style of this item. Personally i think like my hands is definitely from harms way. The main one lower side for this item is the kind of plastic it's made from. Its made from a ver plastic resin. The type of plastic when struck with a spinning blade will shatter. And So I don't regret purchasing it. However, I'd say always employ caution and be cautious to not contact the blade with this particular. Not too I believe anybody is within there workshop simply to touch spinning blades with stuff.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By Owen Lloyd on August 9, 2008
It is simply a push stick right? Why spend $20 onto it after i can simply make use of a wood scrap. I have tried on the extender multiple occasions now and found it's much simpler to manage the wood and it's thin profile enables me to have it into some tight spots. The tray is certainly a gimmic, but I was expecting that whenever I purchased it, and so i can't hold that from the product.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By Timothy A. Leigh on Feb 2, 2007 Nothing much for this push stick and Holder, but if you affix it to your saw fence (double-side tape works) then it is ever present where you really need it. Pencil slot is handy. Space for tape-measure is a lot not big enough and pointless. Main (and good) factor may be the stick keeps your hands up and from the blade.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback...
