Nearly Perfect tent light
By Scott McArthur on March 5, 2012 Color: Red
44 of 46 people found this review useful Ok, and so i bought this tent light for any camping visit to Big Bend. The sunshine performed great with simply exactly the same problem that everybody else mentions. You need to turn a knob quietly to switch it on, dim or amber, but battery enclosure is on the other side and feels identical at nighttime. It was a significant FAIL as obtaining the batteries in properly at nighttime isn't too easy. I easily fixed this by duct taping battery door side shut!
With nevertheless, it was awesome. The amber lights were the right quantity of light for evening and sine they're Brought, I could have them on through the night lengthy for several nights consecutively with similar batteries. I made use of the vibrant white-colored lights for many hrs also on a single batteries and this factor performed just like a champion. It's compact and lightweight, vibrant enough to experience cards or read with. the amber lighting is dim enough to rest and vibrant enough that you could open the tent to "visit the truly amazing outdoors" during the night without waking other people having a vibrant light or killing yourself.
I'd totally recommend this, but I'll only provide 4 stars due to the battery door. After fixing it with duct tape, it had been fine, but Used to do cuss the sunshine a few occasions before fixing the epic fail myself.Comment Was this review useful for you? 12 of 12 people found this review useful I had been surprised how couple of reviews this light had, so felt I ought to add one. I have the other older Coleman tent light (using regular bulbs), and I had been never thrilled by using it. It does not give much light and it dims lower fairly rapidly. It had been useful but Not great. This can be a huge improvement. The LEDs are better and I really like the night light feature (though it is a bit too vibrant). The magnet around the older version was more powerful, but to date that one has held on okay.
It uses 3 AAA batteries inside a cassette which is a little a discomfort - never been keen on that design. (Whether it included an additional cassette that might be useful because then you may possess a second group of batteries all set to go once the first set ran out. because it is, it simply adds time for you to the entire process of altering batteries.). I'd also prefer AA batteries because the AAA's don't last very lengthy. We obtain two or three nights utilization of it before getting to alter batteries.
Everything stated climax know what's even better kind of light I am conscious of. Worth buying for that cost, particularly should you prefer a night light.Comment Was this review useful for you? 11 of 13 people found this review useful I had been very pleased initially when i first switched this light on, it offers a great quantity of light and is spread all through the entire tent. The amber lighting really was great for getting out of bed during the night to make use of the rest room so you could get where you're going to bed w/o walking on any toes...The white-colored leds at both levels provided enough light to see in my 20 years old eyes ='D. I only tried on the extender one evening but the batteries lasted the entire 6 hrs and I am interested to determine just how much longer they'll last.
I got myself this light with this Coleman Montana 8 Tent, and it gave the entire tent a respectable amount of sunshine.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... 5 of 5 people found this review useful LOVE THIS LIGHT! This light is really easy to put anywhere in your tent, all you need to get it done place the magnetic finish around the outdoors and the sunshine inside and There you have it, you've got a portable light. It is extremely vibrant, and we have a large tent (17X10) and the night time light feature was Ideal for my 3 1/two year old. The night time light only agreed to be vibrant enough to create her feel safe but insufficient to bother us basically we rested. The night time light feature seemed to be nice for individuals midnight potty journeys in addition to ensuring my daughter was all hidden once the temp dropped. We had 2 nights of bright light use (Not consistent) and through the night lengthy night light use before we'd the reduced battery signal, but which was using Duracell batteries. Certainly well worth the money!Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. 3 of three people found this review useful I searched a great deal looking for a night light for in the tent, and was surprised there have been very couple of choices. that one, around the amber setting, is ideal! The merchandise description talks a great deal concerning the magnetic attachment for mounting around the tent, but I had been pleased to find there is additionally a loop on top, and so i just hang it from the top tent having a small caribiner -- significantly less fuss and more flexible. The white-colored lighting is fine too, Nice and vibrant.
My only complaint may be the switch: it's quietly and looks just like the other part the battery compartment, so it's easy to go to the wrong side at first (though I suppose the greater you utilize it the greater you'd get accustomed to it). It is also type of stiff, so overall there's more fumbling by using it than I would like, especially since we are speaking about in the tent at night time.
But overall it works perfectly and can also be nearly the only real option for a dim, mellow nightlight for camping.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... 3 of three people found this review useful Granted, we have only used this light two times so far, and so i can't speak for that durability, but there is nothing about this that implies it'll break apart or it's built cheaply. Things I can absolutely say would be that the design and features are absolutely ideal for our needs. Small, Lightweight, the magnetic attaching product is clever, and most importantly, the sunshine settings have to do with perfect. There is a very dim, amber nightlight setting, and then a few white-colored light settings. If you are really wanting it to illuminate like home, Buy two, They are cheap...However for us, the vibrant setting was greater than sufficient using these things within our large-ant wall tent. Highly suggested.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us.
