7 of 7 people found the following review helpful Easy to use with proper flaring tools
By William Parker on August 16, 2010 These items bends much simpler than standard steel line, yet holds its shape equally well. Flares easy whether metric bubble or sae double flares (3/16 is basically identical to the metric equivelent and interchangeable. I'm not sure yet how rust resistant it will likely be, I typically paint lines once i make sure they are before installing anyway to try and preserve them better. This amazon . com cost is notably less despite shipping compared to local auto parts store cost. Same company constitutes a complete type of flare fittings, Both SAE and Metric, individual or perhaps in kits. I am always prepared to make lines for purchasers around the place.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By crazy k on October 13, 2011 This can be a nickle copper alloy line, You can easily bend, simple to flare, quick to utilize, and never rusts. I made use of an inexpensive brake line flaring tool and made quick excellent flares with no leaks on my small try. I'll be also doing preventative maintenance on cars to exchange the crummy steel lines noted for rusting out before they fail with this particular stuff.Comment Was this review useful for you? These copper alloy brake line is great. The road is really much simpler to bend into tight areas without kinking. Its usually double or even more compared to cost of steel. However I think its worthwhile due to the install time. I did not even want to use the tubing bender. I redid all 4 from the lines on my small Saturn which was without any unions. I needed to move from the actual cylinder completely towards the wheel with all of four lines. I could get it done having to break the road anywhere the entire way. And so they won't ever rust out like steel lines do. Great investment is that you simply are replacing lines on the vehicle you are wanting to keep for some time, particularly in claims that salt the roads due to snow.Comment Was this review useful for you? Installed this on my small 2001 dodge dakota. It had been very simple to bend completely from the master cylinder to my rear axle. Did this about 4 several weeks ago and things are still great. Tends to buy it can.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. I got myself the brake line tubing and exactly what a beautiful product to utilize. From cutting to shaping is Quite simple. Using the OE steel tubing, bending would be a nightmare and tubing benders and straighteners were little help. These components is extremely formable. The Only Real tool I truly use to shape it's known as a tubing straightener. Its essentially a set of pliers with flat stock welded around the ends. The flat stock includes a machined groove that safeguards the pipe and the finish is radius cut enabling you to have slight bends. Any super tight bends I'd advise utilizing a tubing bender... but which has limited use. The majority of the work can be achieved using the tubing straightener.
I selected up some bigger fuel tubing too. like I stated, these things are fantastic quality.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... This brake tubing is amazing.
Super easy to utilize. Forms ~1.875" diameter coils without kinks, forms by hands easily, flares dead easy. SO well worth the money versus steel brake line. Has all of the strength you'll need & will not rust. awesome. I'll never purchase a steel brake line again.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Anybody doing brake repair should select this line each time. It's very easy to utilize. Bends can be created with only both hands, and making the correct flared ends is another little simpler. I additionally like the thought this line will not rust away such as the old line did.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback...
