I purchased the kodak playtouch camcorder because my primary audio system needed to be make the look for repairs and I needed something to tie me in the interim. I additionally felt nostalgic for that old record players which i had like a kid. Individuals old players I remembered had good quality and decent seem. The Archer stereo has that nostalgic look but it truly doesn't endure the units from in older days. Set up is pretty easy (just be sure you unlock the screw that holds lower the turntable) - next very little else to recommend. A dark tone arm is flimsy and isn't made to play new vinyls which generally have wide grooves - tracking to the vinyl is difficult and everything turns into a skip-fest. Among the features that many attracted me towards the unit was the automated return - it labored for that first play later on it had been very temperamental, the eject doesn't necessarily start working. Seem-wise - it is so so - absolutely nothing to add too much over. The term on these nostalgic pieces is they look great but are cheap Chinese builds. I'd state that the kodak playtouch camcorder didn't do anything to contradict that impression. Nevertheless while my primary product is away being repaired it has prove useful. I simply wish good ol' american quality was in fashion...10 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... I have had my turntable for almost per month. To date I am extremely pleased using the purchase.
I really like the feel of the situation and because you can close the lid having a record around the turntable.
If there is a stowage space for that cord, which makes it completely portable, it might possess a full 5 stars.
Addition on 7/8/13: I am quoting this from Jetrocket's review, because It is essential:
"The tone arm is flimsy and isn't made to play new vinyls which generally have wide grooves - tracking to the vinyl is difficult and everything turns into a skip-fest."
I have found this to be real, too. I does not happen with all of my newer vinyl, but it's something you should think about. I'd still provide the player 4 stars, but it is a weak 4 instead of a strong 4. )2 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... After combing through a number of reviews for portable systems, I made the decision to purchase that one in my husband's birthday. I made the best choice -- it labored great right from the box and The seem quality is fairly good. We're extremely happy with the amount -- the seem fills the area. To date so great, I'm happy with my purchase!
UPDATE 12/24/13: We attempted utilizing it to experience Christmas records for your loved ones and discovered the vinyl peeling off inside and the gamer making some weird clicking seem that overshadows the background music. We have stored the stereo inside a temperature controlled room and only moved it once so it is not as if we are roughing up. Regrettably, what used to be an incredible gift has virtually be a dud and waste of cash for all of us. bummer.1 Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By Wayne D Hampton on April 24, 2013
My boy loves records and collects old music. We have been through 3 other record players in the past 2 years (they've all damaged the seem quit on one of these, the arm broke on another, the 3rd stopped spinning). We simply received the Electrohome Archer turntable and I must say it's a really solid turntable for that cost. it may sound great and is really big enough to place a 33 record on and still have the ability to close the very best. I've no complaints concerning the volume...I did not find so that it is too quiet. Initial quality is impressive. I would suggest this for somebody who does not wish to spend a lot, but who desires a good record player.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By Helen Beemon on November 2, 2013
I arrange it, it skips on 33s and 45s. I attempted it with new vinyl and old vinyl. I authored the organization and they explained to tape a cent towards the arm, which stopped the skipping a percentage on my small new records, but i then attempted to experience a classic record and it gouged the grooves and destroyed it. Don't Buy IT. Don't waste your money or time.1 Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. This is actually the third affordable record player I have bought recently, and to date it is indeed my favourite. I would not compare it to older models, but it really works ideal for the price. the seem quality is nice, and the situation appears sturdy. the USB and Aux input work fantastically, and I've not had an issue with skipping or anything when playing records. There is a lever that enables a dark tone arm to become decreased gradually to the record, and it really works fantastically. If you are searching to have an affordable record player, a great one.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... this was the third portable turntable system I bought - I returned the first two (both produced by Crosley) since the turntable was warped making the record seem awful. Third try was the kodak playtouch camcorder and it has been great. Seem will work for one room, turntable works nicely and lid assists in keeping pull out the system keep.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback...
