Since I Have received my Teac LP-R550USB CD recorder, I've performed the lp's, cassettes cd's and radio to make certain everything was working. I Then recorded certainly one of my lp vinyl records to some CD and was extremely pleased using the result. My next thing ended up being to record a cassette tape to some CD and again I had been happy with the end result. The directions are simple to follow and I'm pleased with my purchase that is enabling me to record to cd's a number of my records and tapes.2 Comments Was this review useful for you? After thinking about less costly USB turntables I made the decision to provide the kodak playtouch camcorder an opportunity because it also permitted me to record using their company sources including cassette, am/fm and Auxiliary source. My spouse still provides extensive cassettes and our album collection continues to be relaxing in a closet gathering dust for several years and so i thought this is a great chance to digitize our assortment of old music. Readily stored away well-built and sounds surprisingly great for the reduced wattage loudspeakers. It's auxiliary speaker outlets that you can use to give into another amplifier or perhaps an extra group of loudspeakers. I had been just a little skeptical about ale the system to correctly increment the track number between songs with an album but It really works surprisingly well and offers 3 different noise settings that trigger the track to increment. I discovered the -40 db setting works well with albums. it's not perfect but since i have am still learning better to make use of the unit I might have experienced it on another setting, studying the display to find out which features are active is really a chance to learn so some practice is needed. There's additionally a manual choice for incrementing the track number but requires you to definitely exist in the finish of every song. There wasn't any software incorporated for recording your source to the pc so you will have to look for a decent program to do this. I attempted Audacity because it was free and it really works fairly well but haven't found any software which will auto increment file name in the finish of every song. If anybody includes a suggestion of the recording software performs this tell me. Lastly, you are able to record both to some CD and the pc source simultaneously which will help save your time. Overall a really nice device that i'm thrilled to have obtained!4 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... The LP-R550 lives to the advertising regarding simplicity of use. I have recorded some 20 albums onto CD in the last couple of days without any issues whatsoever. I additionally recorded a prized 24 years old Linda Johnson cassette in the tape unit and that process went easily. The PAUSE feature around the recorder is useful when flipping on the record or cassette tape. A dark tone arm has the look of being flimsy or sensitive but operates very well.
I attempted recording straight into my computer a couple of years utilizing an AT-PL50 turntable and Cakewalk software and it did not go well. Even though the approach to recording to CDs and then ripping them into Home windows Media Player may appear tiresome, using the TEAC recorder it's more foolproof. The gear is solidly built and to my ears the loudspeakers are plenty sufficient. I recommend the merchandise.5 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... I purchased this Teac all-in-one system because I needed the space my 30 year old stereo four piece system (plus two HUGE loudspeakers) was taking on. I have had the system for 2 days and I'm happy with it. I've burned CDs from records and have performed records, tapes and Compact disks and took in towards the radio. I've not yet tried on the extender using the computer or recorded from the tape. There are things I already miss about my old system (it dual tape deck, For instance,) but I like getting the large loudspeakers from my family room and having the ability to use my antique cupboard for storage instead of media.
The seem quality when playing records is very good - much better than I was expecting. The tape player labored easily. I actually do really wish i could record onto cassettes since i have a cassette player within my ancient vehicle and can't see placing a CD player inside a vehicle so old. Nonetheless, I'd buy it can. It's very simple to record onto CDs. The directions are pretty straight forward. Initially I did not realize you can steer clear of the recording, switch the record over and place the B side on a single disc because the A side. I believe which was an issue with my studying skills as opposed to the clearness from the directions. Finalizing the disc is straightforward and enables the CD to become performed on other CD players. Make sure to buy CD-R, not RW dvds. For those who have RW dvds, they are able to simply be performed about this system.
Among the all-in-ones within an antique searching cabinet might have looked better using the furniture within my house, but after hearing 2 or 3 of individuals systems that buddies own, I made the decision I'd rather spend money with better seem quality. I believe I made the best decision.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. I received my TEAC unit a few days ago and after reading through, what would be a very user-friendly instruction guide, I examined the seem quality for each one of the audio units within the 550. Seem quality is extremely respectable is bigger from the loudspeakers within the unit. I've just completed some recording and I have to admit this is because simple as the outline and reviews marketed. I'd no problems whatsoever transferring music from both vinyl and cassette to CD and finalizing the CD. TEAC is "keeping simple to use" for all of us seniors to transfer our music to CD so individuals tunes are preserved for many years. Thanks, Teac.Comment Was this review useful for you?
