37 of 38 people found the following review helpful LG much better than Optoma ML550 and Qumi q5 By Quantum on March 21, 2014 Tested all 3. LG was better than both on features (TV TUNER, Wi-fi compatability, Auto keystone). ML 550 had focus issues that is suitable for movies but not for studying. LG and Qumi was without focus issues period. LG outshines Qumi in brightness and similar to ML 550. LG only projector with manual color correction. ML looks good but a little oversaturated. Qumi a little too cold. LG was the apparent option for me especially because it was 100 dollars less expensive than either Qumi or ML 550. All 3 projectors were 500 lumens.9 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us. It is extremely portable and includes convenient transporting situation for travel. Startup<5sec, cooldown<2sec, just uses 60w power, Brought existence will last longer than me probably. The 500 lumens and 720p video quality at 15000:1 contrast is ideal for any room that's dim or moderately illuminated. Pricier it to look great in the center of your day with home windows open letting light in but inside a dark or dim room it'll amaze you!!! color is outstanding and there are lots of settings to tweak it the way you like. It's this type of small unit that you simply can't expect good seem quality and this is exactly why I personally use a large Jambox or plug into surround seem loudspeakers basically desire a true experience. For connectivity, the WIDI rocks ! and will mirror my laptop in HD with ease (I've second gen i7-2670 w/ HD3000 and GT555m Optimus). My 1.5TB exterior hard disk plugs into the projector via usb and will play content in every format that I've tried so far without the need of a computer (except 3d formats must originate from a pc). Standard HDMI for gaming. Has other inputs that I'll never use. 3D works great with Stereoscopic player software (configurations: layout=SENSIO Hi-Fi 3D viewing method=software pageflipping) and SainSonic DLP link glasses. Computer output must be 1024x768 @ 120hz (so basically a 576p resolution in 16:9 movie aspect but still looks very sharp and crisp) Cons: charger weighs greater than projector, There you have it. I recommend particularly if you move about a great deal or travel and have a dark room that requires a sizable 100" screen.9 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By Daniel Wahrmann on December 16, 2013 To begin with, allow me to obvious out what this projector is, and what it's suitable for (and what It isn't!): What Exactly Is It? It is a relatively small and portable Brought projector, among the brightest with this technology (500 lumens!), with many different input options and high quality. So what can I actually do by using it? You are able to project almost anything you like, from nearly every source you are able to consider, inside a relatively giant screen inside a darkened room. and it is great! What exactly is it not suited to? - You cannot expect it to be as bright as normal (NOT Brought) projectors (2000+ lumens), so: - You cannot project a screen somewhere in the open in the middle of the day - You can't even properly see a film inside a room without closing the curtains and darken it somehow - It's very vibrant for it's class, meaning it isn't so tiny as other projectors and needs a separate power adapter (other projectors draw the present from the usb plug). So you've to consider on transporting bag for that projector, and not bring it along in the same briefcase as the laptop (Incidentally, it arrives with one great and Appropriate Bag, that is a excellent detail). Getting stated everything, In my opinion it is a wonderful projector and I would suggest it to anybody who would like to watch films both at home and possess a portable projector for presentations. Inputs You will not be disappointed within this aspect. Actually, Irrrve never seen a projector handier within this aspect, it's hdmi, VGA, RCA, USB and Antenna inputs, and additionally, it has wi-di! It features a built-on television player, so that you can connect a transportable hard disk and watch movies online directly using the handheld remote control. If you want to connect your computer or player you can do it through the VGA, rca or hdmi, but if you do not like wires the wi-di is effective! Read more › Comment Was this review useful for you? Master on March 15, 2014 ok, I figured I understood what we would receive whenever we placed our order. First, this area incorporated a beatiful transporting situation with pockets for a number of accessories, cables and the projector itself. Then searching in the unit, the image of the rear of the projector is grainy, and so i believed that it were built with a composite-in jack, come to discover that it's really a coaxle in- connector.. This projector, is really a TV! Not like my previous LG projector that I had for years while I was overseas which was just a projector (Audio-video, High-definition multimedia interface &lifier VGA). In addition, I just read one review saying they want there is a keystone function, which helped me nervous, but to the delight we found that it does not need manual keystone buttons since the unit instantly adjusts for keystones, typically takes about 1 second and the look auto-adjusts to whatever position. Obviously, we're really impressed with what we based in the box!!Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By Shun Hirashima on September 21, 2014 This really is really my first projector and so i can't match up against other projectors. However, getting viewed some titles with this particular, I can not return to TV or my laptop ever. I mainly purchased this to look at movies in darkroom and 500 lumens is actually enough. Its fan noise is a lot silent than I was expecting. I really like its quality of image that they like film nothing like LCD. To anybody who would like to benefit from the latest CG movies or dynamic actions, I do not recommend the product. To anyone who really loves small theatre, I recommend this small amazing projector. Anyhow I really love my very own small theatre with this particular and I certainly appreciate today's great technology.1 Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback...
