89 of 91 people found the following review helpful will fit a 32oz nalgene screw top (along with some bending) By JohnnyHollywood on The month of january 31, 2012 I purchased this holder since i heard it might fit a 32oz nalgene. I simply received it and after stretching the holder a little the nalgene fits nicely. I am unable to discuss the sturdiness since i haven't even taken it for any ride. I'm a commuter and the opportunity to go ahead and take nalgene from my pack and put it onto my bike is great. Please spare me the "why can you even wish to ride a bicycle having a screw top bottle" Since i do for this reason. I looked throughout for any bottle holder that will fit my nalgene and found little. I really hope this review helps individuals who have been within my footwear.6 Comments Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Essentially, it is a standard bottle cage, except there is a little button underneath that you simply can't see in the picture. Whenever you press the button, it releases the situation to be able to expand or compact it. You are able to really do that using the water bottle within the situation so you are not guessing and developing a nice snug fit. The button is flat with the foot of the cage therefore it does not protrude and will not get snagged. You can also fine-tune the case after you've positioned it to where you want by turning the thumb screw on the front of the case (you are able to really check this out within the pic). That enables you to definitely really obtain a perfect work with any bottle, say whether it has special grips or is not quite snug enough after while using button, ETC. otherwise, it really works and seems like every other cage and does not occupy anymore width. It's certainly taller that other cages, like individuals carbon fibre ones. So this is good for carrying non-standard bike bottles (like getting your cocktail towards the beach). In case your bottle is taller than usual and you've got a small bike frame, this works perfectly well using the Topeak X 15 Waterbottle Cage Adapter.1 Comment Was this review useful for you? By turboman on April 19, 2012 I got myself a couple of these, one for that bicycle and one for that mtb. I needed the adjustable cage because I am always using or reusing various size bottles. The tiniest setting holds individuals cheap, thin plastic water bottles you purchase within the supermarket and the biggest setting supports the standard size workout bottles which have the indentation round the top. Once placed on the mtb I hit the path for any ten mile, single track trail ride. The path was comprised of from smooth hard packed soil to holes, rocks, ruts and Roots. Rough enough to shake things apart. I ride my trails as quickly as I'm able to without loosing it and without mistreating the bike. I tested the holder with three bottles, the conventional sized bike bottle using the teeth pull opening, a Poweraid bottle which i reuse and The conventional size, supermarket water bottle made from a budget thin plastic. The cage held the 3 size bottles at various fluid levels within the roughest terrain. Not used to any bottle get jarred loose or compare to receding. The thin plastic bottle occured firm both full and Empty. I pause and drink when trail riding and the bottles slide in and from the cage easily. I really place a little silicone around the rubber coating from the wire cage to facilitate removal. Not too it needed it but it made it smoother. The cage passed this test with 100% and I'm quite happy with it. On the highway bike one need not be worried about the bottle receding unless of course you receive hit by another vehicle, by which situation it'll most likely not concern you anyway. the bottles slide in and out easily and I'm quite happy with this application too. I suggest this cage for road and biking because it supports the various size bottles you'll use and holds them well.1 Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Please try again 25 of 29 people found the following review helpful great!....but not without a few flaws By ETphonesHOME on June 20, 2011 California summers are recognized for being really dry and so i committed to a water bottle cage to carry my 750mL Camelbak water bottle. Used to do a lot of research in advance and it appeared is the most widely used cage that came stock rich in finish bikes. Furthermore the cage has rubber pads to avoid bottle rattle and a variable base to support bigger water bottles. I haven't yet remove it for any lengthy test ride but Upon installation, I observed a couple of flaws. Despite the adjustable base, the 750mL Camelbak BARELY fits using the largest setting. I am never one for stuffing something till it bursts but I must make the best with this if I am will make it work. I am afraid basically keep taking it and stuffing it in, the bottom will ultimately break. The bottom comes with some considerable wiggle into it that is inevitable as it is built-in a double edged sword to become adjustable. The rubber pads appeared ingenious in writing but upon real life application, it made inserting the bottle and taking it quite difficult to do. There's lots of resistance which may be annoying throughout a lengthy ride a bike. don't misunderstand me, it serves its original reason for eliminating rattle perfectly but observe that you will see a trade-off. Overall, It's lightweight and innovative for something which costs 10 dollars!1 Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Mcdaniel on This summer 17, 2013 This bottle cage is ideal for precisely modifying to smaller sized size bottles, but don't be misled into thinking you can carry a standard (32oz) nalgene within this factor. Among the pictures seems to become holding one, but it's really a little steel bottle. Fully broadened, and using the metal part bent out a bit, still it does not compare. good cage, but not really a solution for transporting large bottles. Comment Was this review useful for you?
