13 of 14 people found the following review helpful Happy I spent the extra money on the x61 By Emerald on March 15, 2015 Size: 280mm I'm presently overclocking an i5 - 4690k by using this. The processor runs at 4.6GHz and within Prime95 load the Kraken keeps temperatures under 70c. Idle temps at 28c and during idle temps the fans are in 20% speed. During gaming temperatures stay under 40c. The fan speed scales using the temperature and because the temps don't raise considerably the fans do not have to spin hard. And So I rarely hear the fans whatsoever. Obviously in case your a person that wishes to create your fans to 100% that can be done using the CAM software. The CAM software programs are neat, but BUGGY. However, there is a latest version that's in beta that's much better than the present version. So I am not likely to allow that hurt my rating from the product. 1 Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... It's very quiet and the fans included are very quiet as well (Remarkably). Cellular phone was quite simple and way simpler than my antec 1250 that was the worst installation I've ever done btw. As well as much better than the antec may be the seem level when i pointed out before. The 1250 is a superb cooler and Keeps temps lower, but it had been too loud with two pumps and not too great fans. The x61 is the greatest cooler I have tried personally and I'll certainly be keeping it for any very lengthy time, but there's a couple of small kink within the software that should be labored out. For instance, the brought control may not be good: it doesn't always update your changes on the fly (Enjoy it should), it does not permit brightness adjustment, the 'breathing' mode may be the weirdest factor since it does not fade in and out easily, just like a breathing mode does on keyboards, it really changes from white-colored to blue to red and then again. Lastly, for whatever reason the Brought on the market stays on even if my PC is switched off and is actually annoying as it is within my bed room. Hopefully all of these things can be fixed with an update to the CAM software (the best idea searching software for coolers). I'm not deducting any stars because these are merely cosmetic quirks that may be easily fixed. There's a couple of stuff that NZXT could enhance: the greatest factor may be the fan design, meaning the 'open' stylized style of the plastic housing doesn't seal completely from the radiator, therefore the 3rd form of the fans have to be completely square and all closed in, Please. And also the instruction need some more detail. It's not a tough package to determine, but the screws have to be labelled and the particular instructions should tell you which of them you should utilize. Is effective as marketed on top of that though. Which wasn't as a result of faulty piece issue. Should you search the forums online you will notice multiple users with similar issue. edit: Following a couple of days I've discovered the rattling to become non-existent. Appears to become a kind of settling process that should occur with this particular cooler. Quiet operation now.1 Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Kimball on This summer 11, 2015 Size: 280mm love this factor, my overclocked CPU which ran around 61C having a 212EVO, now temps 38 under load. The Cam software is not the finest, but they have been pushing updates pretty regularly. also, Used to do get one issue but NZXT sent a component substitute, among the reason I required a star maybe it was required like 3 days to obtain the part. also, whenever you alter the colour of the pump, white-colored is blue-ant. You cannot obtain a nice white-colored. The rest of the colors look great, attached an image from the red. I simply wanted a pleasant white-colored/obvious. 1 Comment Was this review useful for you? By Andrew on The month of january 19, 2015 Size: 280mm Like others have stated. It keeps my overclocked CPU awesome, but the CAM software that's accustomed to configure and monitor it's totally useless. It is the buggiest software I've ever used. By NZXT's own admission, the program needs improving. That's an understatement. It ought to not have been released. 95% of times it crashes on start and another 5% of times it crashes following a couple of minutes. You are really best using a Corsair unit or something like that. The terrible software is struggling, it can make me overlook the constant rattling in the fans when they're above 50%. update: Cam software 2.has gone out not. no change, still crashes 100% of times. I have observed the fan curves haven't any effect unless of course the program is open. That is a problem once the software crashes. I begin a game and get about fifteen minutes in before my CPU overheats. The fans never get above idle, since the software is not running. I instructed my buddy, who lately good quality rig as me, to purchase the Corsair water cooler. His work perfectly. I suppose I must dump this POS and get their own. Instructions were quite useless though, you will have to determine the best screws because they are not marked. I'm managing a I7-4770k with stock cooler formerly and when running Prime95 the CPU did hit 99c, with this particular cooler running at 50% fan and pump speed it did not go pass 74c that is a huge margin when compared to cost of the product.3 Comments Was this review useful for you?
