16 of 16 people found the following review helpful Best Paste Flux
By bcphoto on November 13, 2012 Handy flux is, For me, among the best paste fluxes available. I've found that brushing the joint you are soldering with flux, then heating the region before the flux becomes viscous and Translucent, causes it to be simpler to put the solder pieces having a pick. Should you put the solder before heating the metal a little, the flux can bubble and displace your solder squares. Paste flux will dry up within the jar with time, but mixing in water that is clean easily solves the issue and does not alter the qualities from the flux, because it will evaporate once heated. (Make certain you utilize water from the clean source, IE. canned or filtered water, just like any dirt or impurities will keep solder from flowing freely.)Comment Was this review useful for you? Nothing can compare to a brand new jar of Handy Flux. I have used it for more than 3 decades and am still pleased with the outcomes in silver brazing jewellery components.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... I made use of this thick paste to refill my jar that included a brush. This jar doesn't have brush. Just scoop some by helping cover their a knife and place it within the other jar and then add water to dilute it to some batter thickness. It really works great to safeguard silver scorching when soldering or annealing.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... By Humming bird on August 31, 2012 I purchased the product in my jewellery soldering. It really works okay for your purpose but right after opening it the flux dried hard like a brick then I needed to dispose of it. In the future I'll stick to the liquid flux I purchase from the jewellery supplier.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... It's exactly what it's stated to become. knowing what related to it, you'll enjoy it---if you are just learning, then your cost will work for making mistakes. You can easily use in either case.Comment Was this review useful for you? Yes No Delivering feedback... Appreciate your feedback. If the review is inappropriate, Please tell us.
